Biting the Bullet!

One of the items on our checklist to be ready for the new baby was to purchase a larger family vehicle. We weren't too excited to have to car shop or spend the money, but decided that we just couldn't squeeze one more car seat into our little Accord. We waited as long as we could, but we finally bit the bullet and started getting serious about it and in August, we bought a VAN! Yes...a van! We really wanted an SUV, but the more we looked, the more we realized a van was more practical for us. Besides costing less, the kids can get in and out of it easier and the power doors work great! It has more storage space for all our stuff and seating options and just seemed a better fit for our little kids who still are not buckling themselves. After a lot of research and looking, we ended up finding a car we really liked and felt like was a good deal. Here it is...
Darren and the kids with our new van. It is a used Honda Odyssey and we are really liking it! The kids love having more seats to climb over and on!

Since we bought a new car, it was also time to get rid of an old one. We debated back and forth over which car to sell, but finally decided to sell our Nissan. I think we are a little too attached to our Honda - We love it a lot! The Nissan has lots of good memories, too, but they aren't actually very happy ones. This car broke down on me on the way home from the hospital after having Logan in July in Vegas in 110 degree weather (Luckily, Logan was in the NICU still so we didn't have a newborn in the car with us) and it was also stolen from our condo a few weeks after that and broke down on the thieves and we had to pay a small fortune to get it out of the impound lot! Ohh...Good times! I don't think we will miss it too much, but then again I always have a hard time getting rid of stuff! Logan was really glad he got to take one last ride in it when we took it to sell! Out with the old and in with the new!

We have a silver honda van too and we LOVE it! I told my brother that at this point in my life I am driving my dream car (he laughed). I hope that you enjoy it! Oh yeah, and we got rid of a nissan too so that we could keep our honda accord. Funny.
