Tumbling

March 2 - Rylee took a cute little Tumbling class through the school district this winter. It was once a week for 8 weeks. They wouldn't let the parents stay and watch, so it was kind of different to just drop her off and pick her up. The class was really cheap and I'm not sure how much Rylee actually learned but she had a lot of fun! These are pictures from her final night when all the parents could come and watch and they showed off all their tricks! She was very disappointed because Daddy had to work. The first thing she told her teacher when she got there was that "my daddy isn't here because he has patients". Aunt Vanessa, Mom and Logan and Avery were all there cheering! And Daddy came a little later and Rylee was SO excited! His patients ended up being no shows, so it was perfect! (Sorry - These pictures are all awful! They are on my old camera in a crappy gym with awful lighting and trying to manage Avery and Logan and a video camera. It was the best I could do!)
Running for warm ups
Showing off some of her balances - I don't really know what these are for, but they were kind of funny and Rylee was very precise with her positions. They did flamingo, bridge, and a few others I don't remember.
Another balance
Rylee's shocked face when she looked over and saw Daddy for the first time! She was SO happy to show off for him!
Crab walk
Somersault
These were hilarious! They were called partner log rolls and the kids held hands and then rolled across the mats together. One of the kids always seemed to roll faster than the other and they would end up with their arms all tangled and going in crazy directions. It was funny to watch!

Ready to try her handstand with Teacher Bob
A Handstand...with some help
Yeah Rylee! Avery was a great little cheerleader! She really wanted to run out on the mat and join the class, but she did pretty good watching.
Ry and her daddy! Such a happy surprise for her!
Our little tumbling star! Not sure why she has this necklace on....

Ry did great and she loved tumbling! Sometimes we get so busy with Logan and all the stuff that he has going on that I don't think Rylee gets as much of a chance to try things so this was great for her and she loved her "'nastics". She was a little disappointed on the first day because she wanted to do the "bean" and to swing off the bars, like the gymnasts we watch at Utah State. She adjusted pretty quickly though and was Ok with learning a somersault. The only thing she REALLY didn't like was when Teacher Bob would trick her. Every time I picked her up she would complain that he tricked them and she didn't like that at all! He would have the kids start in a ball and then go into a bridge position and he would have them changing really fast between positions and then trick them and that did not go over big with Rylee. She was also always talking about the invisible bunnies Teacher Bob that would tickle her if she ever got off the mat! She made some little friends and had lots of fun.
