Going Green

March 17 - The kids were thrilled when they woke up on St Patricks Day and found that a little leprechaun had left them some gold chocolate coins hidden all around their bedrooms. It was so cute how excited Logan was! A leprechaun had never visited our house before, so we got pretty lucky this year! Sadly, Rylee left her collection of chocolate coins on the kitchen table while she was doing something and this happened...
This was one happy girl! She was shoving these things in her mouth as FAST as she could when I caught her!
This other little girl in the back of the picture... Not so happy! Luckily, we had enough chocolate coins to share and it wasn't the END of the world! But these pictures made me laugh so hard when I saw them. I didn't know Rylee was in them when I took them, but their two faces are priceless!

And of course, the all needed a new GREEN outfit for the day! I'm not sure that the weather was really warm enough for these spring outfits, but we wore them anyway!
It was our turn to host Joy School so we had some GREEN St Patty's day cookies for the snack.
And then we had a GREEN dinner. The original plan was a GREEN breakfast, but since it was a Joy School morning, that was a little too much mess and stress for Mom, and Dad was going to work too early to include him in the plans. So, we changed to dinner instead. It was a bit of an odd combination, but the kids loved it! Well... they loved the idea of it! They didn't eat all that great, but Green eggs really aren't all that appetizing looking!

Our GREEN dinner consisted of GREEN salad, GREEN beans and GREEN eggs and ham omelets and a GREEN jello shamrock and GREEN milk. Not the most creative or yummiest dinner, but it was GREEN!

After dinner, we changed our GREEN for AGGIE BLUE and hoped some of the Irish luck would help the Aggies in the NCAA tournament. Sadly, it didn't... Logan was CRUSHED!!! Maybe next year!
