The Last Day of Tai's Life!

Feb 26 - Attending the Aggie athletic events, most importantly basketball, is a big part of our winter activities, so it was a little sad for us when it all came to an end! Logan actually woke up that morning and the first thing he said was, "Dad, its the last Aggie game! Its the last day of Tai's life!" He was on the verge of tears! He is pretty much the biggest Aggie fan I know and lives for the games and was so sad that it was over. He knows all the player's names and numbers and can quote all sorts of stats and facts about them. He was so happy to find out the Aggies had a few more games he could watch on TV and he has also asked if he can go watch Tai graduate. He is really attached to these players!!!
Rylee dressed and ready for the game. She loves her cheer outfit and loves watching all the dancers and cheerleaders at the game!
Showing off the tattoo Daddy put on her hand.
Our other little cheerleader, Avery. She is getting really good at the Aggie cheers and likes the games a little more. It has kind of been hard this season with her. She did pretty good at the first of the season, but as she started getting more active the games got harder. She wants to climb all over. Now she is starting to get into it more. She says "Let's GO Aggies!" (it sounds like "ooo ooo A-ees" and she loves the beginning cheer where they sing "U - S - U Utah State Aggies" and she sings the little tune that goes with it and tries to do the hand motions. She also tries to do the Scotsman and holds her hands up for the free throws and says "Swish". It is stinkin' cute!
The number one Aggie fan!
Doesn't he look tough with his Aggie tattoo?
Our little Aggie fans
Let's go Aggies!!!
Why is it so hard to get a good picture???
When we got to the game, Rylee spotted this Princess cow from Chick-fil-A and had to have a picture. She still refuses to take a picture with Big Blue, but she LOVED this cow!
Getting ready for the game to start
Logan cheering for the starting line-up

Rylee doing the Scotsman
I love this cheering face on Logan!
They honored six seniors at the last game. I always tear up at stuff like this. I guess it is the athlete part of me that understands how hard it is when something like this is over, or maybe it is the mom in me. I always think it is sad for them to have their very last game at home! Especially these seniors! They have been awesome and in 4 years have only lost once at home. We have loved watching them.
Logan doing the Dougie! He knows how to get his groove on and loves to dance at the games. It is like he can't stop himself when the music comes on.
We have loved watching Wild Bill for the last 2 seasons and his funny costumes. For the last game, the entire front row wore all of his past costumes. It was hilarious!!! Its not the best picture, but it was so funny! My favorites are Peter Pan, the Little Mermaid and Cupid!
If it starts to get rough during the game, a little treat always seems to do the trick...
Logan's favorite player Tai Wesley cutting down the net at the end of the game! WAC champions...again!!! Pretty awesome!
STEW!!! What can we say??? We LOVE this guy!!!

We were so close to going to watch the Aggies in Vegas, but it just didn't work out. Maybe next year!

Just a side note, our season tickets this year were by the most ornery people in all of Cache Valley!!! A couple of our friends who came with us this year or used our tickets can verify that this is true! There were 2 older couples who sat directly in front of us and whispered back and forth about us the whole game and gave lots of dirty looks. It was awful! Any time the kids bumped them at all, they would turn around and glare at us. And...they were kind of big, so they didn't really fit in their chair. And she would always sit with her arm on the back of the chair, so she was totally in the walkway for our kids, so they kind of bumped her a lot. Plus, Rylee and Avery's feet aren't very long, so they just stick off the edge of the chair and sometimes bumped them and they were so grumpy about it! And they did NOT appreciate Logan's cheering at all! They would give him the meanest looks and once they even said to Darren, "I think I'm deaf in this ear now!" It is a sporting event!!! I am not going to make Logan sit down and be quiet! Especially when he is so excited about all of it! When the entire Spectrum would stand up, they would be the only ones sitting down and they never even clap or cheer! If they were really excited, they would clap with one hand on their lap. I'm not sure why they even came and it was like they expected our kids to sit like they were in church! It was crazy and I hated always feeling like we had to be so careful. And then of course, Avery threw something and hit them... Oops! We will definitely be getting different tickets next year! It is not worth the stress and dirty looks!!!
But, we still love our Aggies! Utah State, Hey! Aggies All the Way...
