Visit From the Bunny

Saturday, April 7, 2012 - On Saturday morning, we woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had come for a visit.  I know the Easter Bunny visits most houses on Sunday, but we have asked him to visit our house on Saturday so that it doesn't get in the way of our church activities and stuff.  As soon as the kids got up, they were REALLY excited to go check out downstairs and see what he had brought.  They could see a couple eggs hiding from the top of the stairs, so they were sure he had come.  I love this age with holidays!  Everything is such a big deal to them!

Ready to start hunting!!! I am such a MEAN mom and make them take pictures before they can start...

They were all really into finding the eggs this year and had so much fun!  Even Avery - I think she may have found the most and was probably the most excited about it all!  The other kids were sweet to help her and leave the easy ones for her to find.

Logan was hard to get pictures of because he is so fast and so all over the place!  He was more interested in finding his basket than the eggs.  He also noticed that Rylee's caterpillars she got for her butterfly garden for her birthday had all gone into their cocoons.  He thought that was pretty neat and loved showing the rest of us!
Almost got them all...

They found this basket first.  It was for Bronson and had some cute Pjs and an adorable little elephant.  It is a Scentsy Buddy - All the kids got one in their basket and they are so great because you put a little Scentsy pack inside them and they smell awesome and help freshen up their rooms.  Logan really needs this now that he is kind of getting to the smelly boy stage...
I love how excited she got about EVERY egg and wanted to show them all to me.

Rylee was the first one to find her basket!
Rylee LOVED her special Easter surprise.  It was a little set of mini barbies that were from the movie Tangled - It had a Rapunzel with long hair, Flynn, Rapunzel with short hair in her wedding dress and Mother Gothel, which I think she might have been most excited about!
Avery liked it too.
Checking out the rest of her basket....  Mostly lots of candy and a book.
Ry and her new stuffed animal - Her Scentsy buddy was a pig.  She loves her!

Logan found his basket next - He was THRILLED because it had NINJAGO stuff!  He is a little obsessed right now!
Looking through the candy...
Still excited about Ninjago...
Still excited...  You can't see his face too well, but I can tell it is excited!
Logan's stuffed animal was a lion.  I don't think he was too excited about a stuffed animal at his age, but his room smells better now :)
 And...back to the Ninjagos...
Showing Avery his Ninjagos
Avery finally found her basket!  It had a set of little Toy Story figures.

Rylee and her basket.  I told her I wanted a picture of her with her basket and this is what she did...  Lined up everything!  I love it!  She got her Rapunzel dolls, some bracelets, a Fancy Nancy book, her piggie and candy!
Avery and her basket - She got a Little Einstein book, Toy Story figures, some bracelets, a stuffed lamb and candy - her favorite part!

Logan and his basket - He got a Curious George book, some Ninjago guys, a lion and candy!

This is what I get when I tell Logan to do a REAL smile...

We spent the rest of the morning playing with the new toys.  Logan worked on assembling his new Ninjago guys.
Avery loved playing with her Toy Story figures
Avery with her new Rapunzel.  I love having a fun holiday and watching the kids with their surprises!
Avery wanted to try out her new book.  It came with a read a long CD.  The other kids went over and watched and listened to.  I thought it was so cute all of them huddled around together.
Another fun Easter!!!

And, since I had been telling Avery for weeks the baby would come out "after the Easter Bunny comes". she was now READY for our new baby to come!  It wouldn't be much longer...
