Halfway to one!

I can't believe that my baby is 1/2 a year old....and still growing! It won't be long before she will want nothing to do with my snuggles and will want to get down and go like the other kids. I hate how fast the baby stage goes! Here are some photos and updates of Avery from Feb 25 to Mar 25. (5 - 6 months)
Avery loves watching any of her toys that hang. They keep her pretty entertained and now she can actually grab them instead of just watching. This is her hanging out in her play gym. She is such a happy baby! (Feb 26)

Another one of my many photo shoots with cute Avery. It is hard not to just sit around and take her pictures all day every day! She is also so happy and sweet and seems to be changing almost every day! (Mar 4)
I love her funny tongue!

She loves to chew her fingers
This face is so funny! Maybe not the cutest, but it made me laugh!
Another photo shoot of Avery - This one is 23 weeks (Mar 5)

Rylee loves her baby sister and wants to be wherever the camera is!!!
Avery's 1st Princess encounter! We like to start them young at our house. (Mar 12)
Avery at Disney on Ice. This little mini vacation to Salt Lake was her 1st family vacation. Now that she is 6 months old, we are starting to feel like we can leave the house a little more often with all 3 of us! (Mar 12)
Avery got to go for her first swim on our mini vacation. We stayed at the Little America and they have the best pool! The water was like bath water and Avery loved swimming! She stayed in for about an hour. I love her cute little suit and those chunky thighs! This is also her 24 week picture. (Mar 12)
Avery swimming with daddy
She was so tired out after going swimming! I thought this was her first night in a hotel, but then I remembered she crashed our anniversary, so I guess it was the 2nd time.
Avery at the Discovery Children's Museum on our mini vacation - Mar 13
My sister made Rylee and Avery these adorable tutus! They were for Rylee's birthday, but she couldn't wait to give them to them. Aren't they cute???

We finally had some nice weather and spent an afternoon at the park! (Notice the snow in the background....it wasn't THAT warm....) Avery got to take her first ride in the swing and she loved it!!! There are a lot of pictures, but that is because she kept pulling the funniest faces!!!(Mar 16)
I love this face!!!
She didn't like this swing because the sun was in her eyes.
She especially liked when I let her go. I think she enjoyed the tummy tickles you get on the swing!
A serious face...
Notice her funny folded hands. She always holds them like that - Like she is praying or something. Then she pumps them up and down and into her mouth. Funny girl!
So funny

She also got to go down the slide with Daddy, Rylee and Logan - What a fun day!
Avery on her 1st St Patrick's Day! Too cute in green - No pinches for her!

We had a couple friends over to make cookies for St Patrick's Day. I wrapped Avery up and set her down so I could help the kids and I looked over and she was asleep. What a good baby!
Some naked baby pictures at 25 weeks. I take way too many pictures, and post way too many pictures, but it is the way I remember things! If I have a picture of something, I remember it so much better. I am hoping if I have enough pictures of Avery, when she gets big like my other kids, I will still remember what a sweet tiny baby she was! (Mar 20)
Love those eyes! She is so close to rolling over....

She loves her toes! She can actually pull them both way to the outside and hold them in the splits. I love how flexible babies are.
Happy girl!!!
Oh I how I love this face!!! This is Avery in her pretty red dress on Sunday - and another photo shoot for mom! (Mar 21)

I love her smiles!
I love the way Avery sits with her legs like the splits. It just makes me laugh! What a little monkey.

We finally started Avery on her baby cereal. (Mar 21) I was slow to start because she had an ear infection and because I know once you start real food, it gets a little harder. You have to pack food places and make another little dinner at night and all of that. Avery was REALLY excited to try food though! I had too many pictures, so I decided to make this another post....

Avery and Mommy - What a big girl!

Avery and Daddy!
I love the cute messy cereal faces! (Mar 23)

Avery on her 6 month birthday (Mar 25)

Here are a few other things about our Avery at 6 months old:
She had her very first ear infection. Being the fabulous mother that I am, I totally had no idea. This is probably because she is such a good baby and didn't really fuss. She had this awful cough and it wasn't going away, so I finally took her to the Dr on March 1st, and found out the cough wasn't such a big deal, but she had a double ear infection! She was having a hard time sleeping but I thought it was from the cough. She really wasn't too fussy for me to think that her ears hurt. How sad! She also got to start her first antiobiotic.
Avery is sitting up so well! She hardly ever falls over. I couldn't believe how good she did all of a sudden. I took her for her pictures and they asked if she sat up and I said she did a little bit, and then she sat up through most of the session. My other kids seemed to topple once in awhile, at least when they try to reach things, but Avery seems to have a really good balance and just spreads her legs further apart if she wants to reach something. The only time she has been toppled has been backwards, and that usually is from Rylee "helping" her!
Avery LOVES to play Peek-A-Boo now and is laughing more and more when we play with her. She also still loves pat-a-cake and is trying to do it herself. She hits herself a lot and it is a little funny trying to watch her get it all figured out. She is so funny with her arms and hands. They are always going and she seems quite fascinated by them. She will just sit and stare at her hands all the time and watch them open and close over and over. I love it! She also loves her cute toes and grabs them all the time. She has also found her hair and has started to try and grab it and play with it a lot. I love watching her discover so many things.
Avery loves to just hang out on the floor and is SO close to rolling over onto her tummy, but still hasn't done it. She just talks and talks all the time and is getting pretty loud. She has also discovered the TV and really zones in, which is probably a bad thing. She especially seems to notice the bight colored cartoons that the kids watch like The Backyardigans and she gets excited when she sees them. When Avery gets excited, her arms go crazy and she does this funny excited breathing. It is so cute!
Avery loves to be outside. A few times I have taken her out and it has been really cold or windy, and she will do this funny little whimper because she can't seem to catch her breath. It is a little funny, but also kind of sad.
Avery also has started putting her hands way up over her head, and is babbling a lot, saying "Bababa" and "Dadada" She still loves her tongue and loves to blow spit bubbles. She is also SO grabby now and it is hard to keep things away from her! Especially if I leave her in the bumbo, she will grab anything within reach. She is starting to be dangerous. She also loves to grab my face and my hair and it goes right to her mouth. She is becoming much more social and loves to play and laugh. We are having so much fun with Avery!
