Dean's Wedding

On Thursday, October 15th, my brother Dean got married!!! It was a big, exciting day for our family and we are so happy for him and Laura! We slept over at my parent's the night before the wedding so we could make it to the temple with a little less stress and made it to the 11:40 sealing just in time! Vanessa and my brothers were in charge of the kids while we were in the sealing. It was a beautiful sealing and great to be in the temple. It was really short. When we were finished, the kids were having a great time running around the temple grounds waiting for Uncle Dean and Aunt Laura to come out.
The kids were loving playing on the temple stairs!

Logan and Uncle Jeff. My kids were really good for the wedding, except when wound up by my little brothers! They make my kids a little bit crazier than usual, but my kids love their uncles and always have so much fun with them!
Yeah!!! The happy couple finally came out! I don't think I have ever seen my brother happier! It was so cute. He was up all night making their photo montage for the reception. Poor guy! We all love Laura, too and are excited for her to be in our family.
Logan couldn't wait to give Uncle Dean a hug!
Logan told Laura congratulations, too
Rylee has been excited about this wedding for SO long! She has been mostly excited to wear the "Princess" dress for the reception, but also about seeing Laura in a wedding dress! She frequently wraps things around her in the house to look "fancy" and tells us she is getting married. She was also excited to go to the temple. When Laura came out, Rylee was in awe of her beautiful dress and couldn't wait to talk to her and see her dress and veil up close. It reminded me of my wedding. My sweet niece, Haley, who was about 4 was SO shy and rarely said anything to me the whole time Darren and I were engaged, but on my wedding day, she thought I was a real Princess and came up and gave me hugs the whole day! I LOVED it - So cute!!!

I love that my kids were so excited and happy to be at the temple! Hopefully, they will always feel that way about it.

Avery was such a good baby all day. It was her first really big outing and the first time she spent any time outside. She seemed to love being outside and the weather was perfect. She was really hungry but made it through pictures at the temple and then slept through the luncheon for us. She was so great all day!
Rylee was having a great time with Grandpa and our good family friend, Angie. She had them throwing her up in the air and spinning her and was loving it!
When I went to feed the baby, Darren took the kids around the temple grounds and they had loved exploring. Rylee kept picking flowers to give to Laura.

Logan and Rylee also really liked the reflection pond in front of the temple. It was pretty hard to keep them out of the water.

After pictures, we went to the Luncheon at Christopher's, a restaurant in downtown Salt Lake. The kids were starving! I was going to have them share, but got them their own and they both ate just about everything on their plates, and it was A LOT of food! They were great during the whole lunch, but at the end, they started to get pretty restless - especially Logan who loved playing with my cousin's little boy, Griffin. They were running around being a little crazy. Here they are eating dessert.

Avery looked so pretty in her little dress! Her and Rylee matched, just in different colors. The reception was a little crazy with keeping the kids under control and I didn't get very many good pictures, which I am really sad about!
Logan was REALLY excited about wearing a tie! Here he is with his partner in crime, Griffin! He is my cousin's little boy and they sure had a lot of fun together! They spent most of their time in the primary room giving pretend talks from the pulpit. It was quite entertaining to listen to! Logan gave his talk that he gave in Primary way back in April and still remembered most of it. My favorite part was when Griff told Logan, "You're boring!"
Here is Rylee in her beautiful Princess dress! She was SO excited to wear it and had been talking about it for months!

Rylee caught the bouquet! Well...sort of! My sister Vanessa really caught the bouquet, but she pretty much knocked another girl down to get it, so to make it look better, she pretended that she was catching it for Rylee, who thought it was pretty cool to have flowers!
Rylee hanging out with Grandpa. He pretty much lets her get away with anything and here is evidence - She is picking apart the setup for the wedding (it was styrofoam and she is digging at it) and he isn't stopping her. I didn't know what she was doing until after I took the picture and saw the hole in the pillar! I'm pretty sure it was there before, but Rylee did make it bigger...
My attempt at a picture of the kids together in their cute clothes...Didn't work out very well! And I couldn't try another one because I was afraid for Avery's life!
My kids loved 2 parts of the reception - Decorating Dean's car, which Logan kept running up to Dean in line and telling him that they trashed his car. And the bubbles at the end. My cousin's husband, Brad, was so cute blowing bubbles with them and they thought he was awesome!

They had such a fun night! It was SO late by the time we left and we had to make a 1 1/2 hour drive! We didn't get home until about midnight! It was quite the day, but so great to be with our family and celebrate Dean and Laura getting married! We love you guys!!!
