Rylee's 11 Month Pictures

I know that I have posted a lot of pictures of Rylee, but I can't help it - They are so darn cute! These are her latest - Her 11 month photos taken at Target and they turned out really good. I will be taking her again soon for her 1 year photos and then the monthly photos will be done! I have to say it is a little ridiculous, but I actually really enjoy doing it and have had fun! And they are so cute - who can resist? I think I might even miss going a lot! She loves the camera and has even started to say CHEESE! It is adorable! I think she smiled in almost every pose they took. They took so many different and cute ones, it was so hard to choose! They were really fun pictures for Easter.

TAGGED!!!

This is actually a voluntary tag. I have a bunch of friends who had done this recently and thought it looked kind of fun, so here you go...More about me than you probably ever wanted to know!!!

10 years ago: I was in my Jr year of High School. I think it was about Prom time and I was really excited to go! It was also track season - I LOVED running then, although I don't think I could even make it around the track once anymore! (I ran the 800 and the 300 hurdles...) I also enjoyed track a lot because there were boys on the team and I got a great tan!

5 things on my to do list today:
1- Take Logan to his Art Class at Desert Breeze
2- Pick up Rylee's pictures at Target - They turned out so cute!!!
3- Clean my house! I have LOTS of company coming for Rylee's birthday!(This is on my list every day and probably will be forever, because it NEVER gets finished before it gets messed up again...)
4- Go to Physical Therapy - This was not the most fun thing I have ever done...
5- Enrichment

5 Snacks I enjoy:
1- ICE CREAM!!!
2- Swedish Fish
3- Cheesecake
4- Anything chocolate, or especially chocolate and peanut butter!
5- Mike and Ike's - I love to eat these when I travel

Places I have lived:
1-Layton UT
2- Logan, UT (Lots of different apartments there!)
3- Las Vegas, NV

5 vacations you've had:
1-Hawaii (twice with my family)
2-Disneyland (a LOT!!! this is our favorite place to go and we have been there a LOT! Since Darren and I have been married, we have been there 5 times!) and Disneyworld
3- New York, Pennsylvania and Massachussetts
4- Church History tour in Missouri and Nauvoo
5- Backpacking Europe! My favorite trip ever with my old roomie Summer!
(Our honeymoon was to Vegas, so it doesn't even seem like a vacation since we now live here!)

What would I do if I were suddenly made a Billionaire:
1- Pay off our student loan
2- Buy a house with a garage and backyard - I am dying to have those things!!!
3- TRAVEL!!! I would love to be able to go do some fun things and take Darren some really fun places! Especially the trip to Chile he has wanted forever!
4- Buy Darren's practice with all the stuff he wants in it
5- Buy the present I wanted to get Rylee for her birthday but couldn't justify.
6- Buy new furniture - our house looks a little like a college dorm! I would also redecorate our house.
7- Get some clothes that aren't 5 years old or for being pregnant
8- Help out family and donate some money to good charities and the church.
9-Invest and make sure that we have plenty of money for retirement, college, weddings, and FUN!
10-Buy a really sweet camera!
11-Get a cabin at Bear Lake for our family

5 jobs I have had:

1- My first job was an official for youth Sports. I started as an offical (referee/umpire) and then got to be a scorekeeper (this is better because you don't get yelled at as much!)and finally got to be a supervisor. this was probably my favorite job ever because I got to sit in my lawn chair and watch baseball and work on my tan!

2- I worked at a dry cleaners

3- I worked for the Utah State Phonathon all during College - This is probably why I am very sympathetic to telemarketers.
4- EFY Counselor - this was a really fun job!
5- Staff Accountant at the Las Vegas Hilton
(I can think of about 5 others, but I think those are the most interesting....)

5 Things you didn't know about me:
1- I love to play the piano (although I never get to anymore...I can't remember the last time I got to actually sit down and play...) and I used to play the flute in high school.
2- I really like to teach at church, but for some reason, I can't speak in Sacrament Meeting! The 1st time I tried, I passed out and the 2nd time I tried, I threw up at the podium! I haven't tried again since, but I am a little nervous they are going to ask us when we move... I also have more embarrassing moments than anyone should have in a lifetime!
3- I have been bungee jumping before!
4- I am not only a True Aggie, but I am an Ultimate Aggie!
5- I would someday like to own a reception center and plan weddings and events. Wierd but I really like to plan that kind of stuff! Darren and I each have a list of things to do before we die and this is one of the things on mine...I also would love to go see Oprah and a bunch of other things...My list is really long! Maybe I will post it someday!
If you feel inspired, then you are tagged, too!

Where Does He Get This Stuff???

Logan is definately our little entertainer! He is always saying funny things and making us laugh! He also has this crazy ability to remember EVERYTHING he sees and hears, which can be somewhat dangerous! For instance, he recognizes lots of signs and when we are driving he will always yell things like, "Home Depot mom!" or "TARGET!!" (this is his favorite!!!) or "Look Mom! Eat Fresh!!! (Subway). He also can identify the ESPN logo anywhere (Hmmm...I wonder why!) He can spot them anywhere too. He is constantly quoting commercials or things he hears on TV. Like he will say, "Coming next on Game Time on ESPN News!" or he says a lot of funny things from PBS since that is about the only channel that I let him watch during the day. We have also been letting him watch a little bit of American Idol now and then and he has started "interviewing" us - He will use anything like a microphone and say "What do you say when you grow up?" (I think he means what do you want to be, but you get the idea...) Anyway...This is all leading to a very funny conversation I had with him this week. I have awful allergies right now and can't stop sneezing. I was sneezing and sneezing and my eyes were watering like crazy and Logan asked "Mom, what is wrong?" I told him that I had bad allergies and just couldn't stop sneezing! His reply was, "Mom, do you need to talk to a Dr about allergy symptoms?" WHAT? Where does he get this stuff? I am still laughing over that one!!!

TV Tuesdays!

I may be a nerd, but I LOVE Tuesdays for one reason - MY TV! I LOVE American Idol and have since the beginning (I started watching season 2!) I have to say that since Carrie Underwood won, I have felt that it is slipping, but I think this year is finally a good one again. There is a lot of talent and I LOVE that they can also play instruments. It makes it much more interesting! My favorite is Brooke White. I think she has a really cool voice. I also really like David Archuletta. My other favorites are David Cook and Carly, but there are some other really good people too. After American Idol, I love to watch the Office reruns on TBS for a whole hour! I have to have ice cream to do this! I usually watch by myself because Darren plays basketball on Tuesday nights, and sometimes I feel dumb laughing hysterically, but I can't help it! The Office is my favorite! Who doesn't laugh at Dwight K Schrute, Michael Scott and the whole office bunch? Today my little brother sent me a text of his Dwight bobblehead and I laughed so hard! Tonight is the basketball episode - I LOVE it! I better get back to it!!!

March MADNESS!!!

My Tribute to Bracketology!
March Madness is officially here! This is one of my very favorite times of the year – Not only is the weather usually great in the Spring, but my favorite sport to watch, College Basketball, is at its finest! Many of you are probably not big sports fans, and may not even know what I am talking about, but I love the intensity of the National College Basketball tournament and seeing the underdogs prevail and cheering for whoever I happened to pick in my bracket – It is great fun! I am always in for anything competitive and so I will get into picking a bracket. When I used to work at the Hilton, I would fill out a football pick them card every week and actually won a buffet dinner one week when I came in 2nd among all the employees. (This was not the big of a treat as the buffet food VERY closely resembled what we were served in the employee cafeteria every day. And just this year, I beat all of my brother-in-laws in Fantasy Football! As the only girl, I came away with the victory! Of course, none of them even acknowledged my win but I think it is pretty impressive! (It was probably just beginners luck, but I like to think there is some skill involved.) So, I do have a reputation to protect when it comes to this kind of thing!!!
Filling out a bracket is always something I look forward to each year. If you were to look at my fridge right now, you would see my magnetic bracket all filled out with all the winning teams circled and ready for tomorrow’s games. (I found this wipe board bracket at Target in the dollar section last year – It might be the best $1 I ever spent!!!) Ever since I was a little girl, I remember the bracket process. I remember my dad awaiting the newspaper for the bracket so that he could fill it out (back in the pre-internet days!) I remember watching him spend lots of time filling it out and then erasing and re-erasing until he got it just right – A ritual that now involves a click of the mouse. I then remember him lamenting over his losses and celebrating the picks of the successful underdogs as the games unfolded! And, I am proud to carry on the bracket tradition in our home! The Webber family tradition started the first year Darren and I were married, we created a little pool for our friends, and I won! It was mostly his friends, and I don’t think that he enjoyed losing to “a girl”, much less his wife and having her beat most of his friends as well. I have to say that I am not the typical wife, who watches just to spend time with her husband. I actually enjoy watching as much as Darren most of the time. Since having children though, this has changed. It has become very challenging to sit down and really watch much of anything, much less a 3 hour basketball game. So, this year’s bracket was a bit of challenge to fill out since I had not seen any of the teams really play and based my picks on pure luck!
Filling out a bracket, however much I enjoy it causes me a HUGE amount of stress. It is not like there is much on the line, besides bragging rights, but being the competitive person that I am, that is a lot to put on the line! Darren or I have won the little bracket pool with our friends almost every year (one of my friends even named his bracket Robb Vs DW and BW this year!) Everyone wants to beat us and we have a reputation to protect at the Webber house! This gives a little added pressure - AND Darren has beat me the last 2 years, and it is time to redeem myself! But for a person who struggles to make any little decision, asking me to sit down and make THAT many decisions (there are 63 games in the tournament!) in such a short amount of time, and on which my sports knowledge reputation will depend for the rest of the year, is quite intimidating! I am one of those people who feel like they need all the information possible before I can make an educated decision, so I read way too many people’s opinions and confuse myself even more. Then there are those ones that I can’t decide on and change over and over and ultimately, get them wrong! Case in point – UNLV vs. Kent State! I changed this a lot and finally decided that picking UNLV would just be dumb. I was only picking them since I feel some loyalty to them (although I mostly resent them because of the large amount of money they have taken from us!!!) and so I decided to go with Kent State! And, of course, UNLV wins! Also, I read several articles talking about how great USC is and they did beat UCLA, so I not only picked them through one round, but 2 and they lost their first game! You shouldn’t listen to the experts, I guess! And of course, I picked BYU as I am somewhat of a Cougar fan, but they lost too! I know you can’t get them all right (well, I never have…) but I hate missing the ones that I changed or even thought about changing! However, filling out a bracket makes watching the games much more fun. Especially if Darren and I are cheering on opposing teams- It makes it much more interesting! Even if you are not a basketball fan, March Madness can be quite fun! You can pick teams based on things like team colors or mascots. (There is a team in this year’s tourney that are the Governors … That strikes fear into any opponent’s heart, right? Actually…Political leaders can be quite frightening…) So far, I have not had as much success as I hoped. I am currently beating Darren though and in a 6-way tie for 1st in our bracket pool! We’ll see how long it lasts…
Today had some great games that came down to the last shot and were very exciting! This is the part of March Madness that I love! I was screaming and yelling and Logan even got in on it – He was chanting “DAVIDSON! DAVIDSON!” (That was an upset I picked that did happen!) Being at home is great because I can watch EVERY game (when I used to work, I was always checking scores on the internet…) I love college basketball because those players aren’t getting huge paychecks and play for the pride of their team and school. There is much more team emphasis, emotion and strategy than the NBA. I love it! If you haven’t watched a game, I would recommend it! You might catch the March Madness yourself!

Little Messes Part 2

Ever since I posted my last post of the messes my children had made, they have seemed to multiply! I think Rylee is mostly in a bad stage to get into things! Here are a few more of the messes they have made for me lately.... Good thing they are so cute!
My Little Scrapbooker - I went to the bathroom the other day and returned a couple minutes later to find that Rylee had dumped a whole box of my scrapbooking supplies on the kitchen floor - What a mess! I guess at least she's starting young!!!
BUSTED!!!
What a mess!
Logan LOVES to get into the fridge lately and the other morning, I was getting ready for church and he came to tell me he made me a special treat - Eggs! AHHH! I ran into the kitchen to find 2 eggs on the floor and later I discovered every egg in the carton was broken! Not such a great treat - I guess it is the thought that counts!!!!
Logan LOVES Chocolate! He found some the other day and ate it as fast as he could before he got caught - There were wrappers everywhere and chocolate all over his face!!!
Rylee is now eating lots more food - And making LOTS more messes! Since she now has teeth, we let her try the Biter Biscuits - They dry like Cement and are SO hard to get off! It makes me wonder what is in those things....
Logan LOVES to get into this game box and throw all the playing cards out! It makes a LOVELY mess as you can imagine....
I'm not sure how she managed this, but here is another of Ry's eating messes!
This is Rylee's favorite past time - Shopping in the cupboards and rearranging all the cans! She dropped one on her poor little toe the other day and it was SO sad!
Toilet Paper again! Rylee loves to unroll this all over the bathroom! She also loves to empty all the cupboards and drawers and has now discovered the toilet - YIKES!

Pearly Whites!

Being a dental family, it is a big deal that Rylee now finally has some teeth! She got her first tooth at the end of January and her second tooth finally poked through February 20th! It was kind of a long time to wait for teeth - She started walking way before she had teeth - but they are finally here! I was nervous that she might be a biter, but so far, so good!!!
A little blurry, but if you look close you can see tooth #1!

Now we have 2 pearly whites! For awhile, it looked a little odd with just one, but with both, she is looking pretty cute!

February Highlights!

Here are a few of our February activities - We had a busy month and did a lot around our house to get it ready to sell, but we did manage to do a few fun things! We had a really small Superbowl party - mostly just so I could make some fun treats! I was dying for 7 Layer Bean dip and needed an excuse to make it! I also took the kids to see the Globetrotters and they thought that was really fun! Afterwards, Logan would only use his red, white and blue ball to play basketball and tell me that he was a 'Trotter and did little slam dunks on his hoop! Rylee even liked it because she loves to cheer! We also made a trip to see the fish at the Bass Pro Shops, which the kids always love to do! Rylee walks right up to the tank and starts signing fish and gets so excited! The kids have also LOVED being able to start spending time outside and we have been going to the park and taking walks and all sorts of stuff (we will definately miss this about Vegas...) Logan also started a little art class that he really likes that teaches colors, shapes and numbers. He is having lots of fun with it!
