Rylee's Tangled Party

Apr 3 - One last birthday post for Rylee. We had a family party the Sunday following her birthday. Our family's are both quite large, so they tend to be quite an event! We had it on a Conference Sunday and some of the family came up a little early and watched Conference with us. Since I didn't make a cake, it was way low stress for me! I am usually trying to finish everything last minute, so this party was great! Rylee was very excited to have everyone over to celebrate! I know it stretches her birthday out for about an entire week, but isn't that how birthdays should be? I think so!
Ry in her cute outfit ready to party!
Rylee with some of her decor - a Tangled cake and banner and flowers from Daddy. We had 3 different banners hanging around the house. They were so cute! Thanks to my friend Jenn for letting us borrow them!
Rylee had a lot of fun playing with her cousin Lauren in the kitchen. Lauren is a lot older than Rylee but they played together really well.
Ready to open presents - She got spoiled! I love the many facial expressions she makes! This present was a whole bag of art supplies from Great-Grandma P. She loved them! She loves to color and draw and paint and this was perfect!
Clothes from Great Grandma M. She also gave Rylee a book and a Snow White Polly Pocket Princess set with a kitchen! Ry was excited!
Aunt Heather and Uncle Jay and Ethan gave Rylee 2 really cute picture frames - This is the one Aunt Heather made for her. Thanks to her my kids have cute decor for their rooms. I'm not so good at making stuff for them, but she has made them a ton of cute things. She also got a special Ariel pen with a PLUME (like Fancy Nancy's) from Aunt Vanessa and Uncle Brian and they took her for ice cream that week and her Webber cousins and Uncle Brian and Aunt Val gave her a Hello Kitty toy.
She was SO excited about this! A Tangled set from Grandma and Grandpa Webber! With a FLYNN RIDER!!! She loves when she gets the boys to go with her Princess dolls.
And a Tangled tower from Grandma and Grandpa Webber!
I don't know what she is doing here, but she is just funny. She is so good about saying thank you to everyone while she opened presents.
Uncovering her last present from Grandma and Grandpa Boman and the uncles - They told her their was a monster under the blanket and she did NOT appreciate that!
Ta-DA! My mom made this FABULOUS setup for Rylee's dressups. Isn't she amazing? I saw one in a magazine that was awesome but cost $150! So I showed it to my mom and she came up with this, which looks almost exactly like the original! It is perfect for Ry to hang all her Princess dressups on and she loves organizing her things in it.
It even has a mirror for Rylee to check herself out in! She is always talking about going into her "dressing room" so this is so perfect for her!
Miss Avery being crazy!
My cute nephew Ethan reading a book
Avery doesn't really like other people besides Mom and Dad. She is in that hard clingy stage right now. She was LOVING Lauren though and kept giving her hugs.

Avery stole a treat and made a run for it!
Ry's big cake...thanks to Sam's Club!
Cute little twinners! I love these sweet baby girls! I love the faces they are pulling in this one.

CHEESE!
I am in love with these little Ruffle legs they have on. Do you think they come in my size?
Ah....Sweet!
Time to blow out the candles...
Having some cake! Lauren was so nice to push Avery around on her little bike. They were having so much fun!
Avery playing with cousin, Madi.
I tried to get a picture of Rylee with each of the party guests, but it was a little crazy and some left before I could get their picture. Here is Ry with Great Grandma Mary. The guests that left before picture time were Aunt Vanessa and Uncle Brian, Aunt Heather, Uncle Jay and Ethan, Grandma and Grandpa Webber and Uncle Brian, Aunt Val and Madi, Parker, Spencer and Lauren.
Ry and Grandma Boman with her Dress ups holder that Grandma built! She couldn't wait to get them all hung up and organized. She brought them all down as soon as we finished cake!
Rylee and Great-Grandma Pauline
Rylee and Uncle Brad - I didn't know he closed his eyes or I would have taken another picture.... And I love the hand on the hip pose!
Rylee and Uncle Jeff. We have been talking about him going on a mission soon and I think my kids are going to have a hard time! They love their Uncle Jeff!
Ry and Uncle Kyle
Ry and Grandpa B
Rylee (and Logan) were really excited to try out the new Tangled toys. It was great that there was even a Flynn for Logan! They had a great time with these since they love the movie SO much! Another party come and gone! I love hosting these things and all the love our family shows for our kids. It is a lot of work sometimes, but so worth it.

Princess PJ Party

Mar 30 - For Rylee's party with her friends she really wanted a Tangled party. Since the movie came out on DVD on her birthday, I suggested we watch the movie instead of a regular party with games and she LOVED the idea. So, we decided to have a PJ party and it was so much fun! Our party guests all came in their PJs and brought their pillows and blankets. Our original plan was to have the party at night and have pizza and stuff, but we couldn't find a night that worked, so we did a morning party with breakfast. Rylee was SO excited for days before and kept naming off all the people she wanted to invite. She wanted to invite EVERYONE she knew, so we had to limit her a little bit. She had a great time with her cute friends.
We served breakfast first. It was a PINK breakfast and the girls loved it. Here are all of Rylee's cute little friends ready to eat - From Rylee clockwise - Rylee, Madi, Allie, Sky, Arita, Eliza, Savanna and Kylie.
Here is our PINK breakfast - Pink chocolate chip pancakes, pink juice, strawberries (they are a little bit red...) and Pink scrambled eggs. Darren didn't think the girls would eat the eggs because when we dyed our eggs green for St Patrick's Day, the kids didn't want them. PINK eggs were a much bigger hit though - The girls LOVED them! I think little girls will eat anything if it is pink! We served the food on frying pans to fit with the Tangled theme. Not that 4 year olds notice that kind of thing...
The set up
Rylee's cake - There is a funny story about this cake. I looked at lots of different parties online to get ideas for Ry's party. My good friend, Jenn, was also doing a Tangled party for her little girl, Madi, the day before Rylee's party. (They share the exact same birthday). We looked at the same party and were making all the same things. So, Jenn was ahead of me in making stuff (I am a last minute person), so she just offered to let me use it all - The decorations and the cake since it wasn't really edible anyway. AWESOME! It saved me so much time! The banners were so adorable, too but I'm not sure if they show up in these pictures... Maybe in the next party post they will. It was the least stressful birthday party I have ever done...because Jenn did all the hard stuff for me and cakes always stress me out! Maybe next year I will have to take a turn and share with her. It is a great arrangement! So...I can't take credit for the cake. Isn't it cute?
The birthday girl enjoying her breakfast
After breakfast, we opened presents.
Avery being tickled by Aunt Vanessa. She is a crazy girl!
Rylee opening her gifts. My friend, Summer, came and took pictures for me of the party. She is so great! Thanks!!! I also had help from Darren (the breakfast cooker) and my sister, Vanessa. Gosh... It is starting to sound like I didn't do anything for the party...

Ry got some very cute stuff from her friends. She LOVED this big Tangled set for hair and makeup stuff. Her favorite part is the fake nails! She also got the Tangled soundtrack, a really cute Littlest Pet shop set with a cute girl doll (I didn't even know they had those...), a Little Pony, a Barbie fairy, a big Dora puzzle, a Belle Princess Polly Pocket, bubbles and sidewalk chalk and a BIG pink ball.
Next, it was time to watch the movie. The girls all got their pillows and blankets set up and were so excited!
Avery - She's a cute little stinker!
The cute girls all sprawled out and watching the movie. Since it had just come out the day before, it was a pretty exciting movie for them to watch and they were all really into it! Cute little Savanna said she needed someone to snuggle with and curled right up to my sister about halfway through. I should have taken a picture - It was pretty cute.
I got cute Tangled cups for them to have popcorn and candy in. That is my kids' favorite part of our movie nights...the special treat mixed in with their popcorn. This is Rylee, Arita and Sky. All of the other little girls were from our ward, but Arita is from Rylee's Joy School class and Sky is my good friend Summer's little girl. Her and Rylee have known each other since they were tiny!
Aunt Vanessa was on Avery duty - She helped with her the whole party and Avery was loving it. She is a full time job! The birthday girl eating her popcorn and loving the movie!
During the movie, we painted the girls' nails. So fun and girly!

Logan was there, too. He hated being the only boy, but he was pretty into the party and the movie. He had to go off to school at the end, but he had a good time, too.
The little party guests before cake and ice cream - We made them each a Tangled crown. These pictures are fuzzy, but I just love Avery inching closer and closer. She just jumped right in there - She thinks she is just as big as the big girls.

Ready for cake!
Rylee ready to blow out her candle. I think she is getting a little bit tired....

Tangled cupcakes
Yummy!
Avery loved her cupcake!
The birthday girl mostly just likes frosting...
Our cute Party girl after the party. It was so much fun! Rylee was some cute little friends and they were all so much fun to have. We sent the girls home with their own nail polish and a little Tangled hair tie - I should have taken a picture. They turned out pretty cute. And some candy and their Tangled cup. What a fun day for our little Princess!

Princess Rylee and Mommy
After the party, Rylee couldn't wait to play with her toys and wanted to watch Tangled again. I am pretty sure that we watched the movie and listened to the soundtrack NON-stop for the next few days. Logan would come down and turn the soundtrack on first thing in the morning every day. He loved it as much as Ry. They would dance all over and sing - So much fun! I love how Ry is always arranging everything and lining things up...

It only took me 2 months to get that posted! Yikes! Now, its almost time for another birthday party. Logan wants a Star Wars Party.... and requested that Yoda or Darth Vader be there! Not sure I can pull that off....

POOPED!

Literally.... Pun INTENDED! We are up to our eyeballs in poop at our house. Logan started with diarrhea on Saturday night. I just thought he ate something bad or something, but it got worse and he started complaining about his tummy more and more so I took him to the Dr. on Tues morning. They couldn't find anything really wrong, but sent me home with a stool sample kit to test some things. Luckily, my fabulous husband handled that for me. I got a call on Thursday saying Logan had an unspecified infection but all the initial specific tests had come back negative. Thursday night Avery started to get grouchy and have diarrhea as well. Friday morning, the Dr office called and said that Logan's culture came back and he had SALMONELLA! Awesome! And...Salmonella is contagious, which I didn't know and since Logan was acting pretty well besides the diarrhea, I wasn't too careful about him being around my girls or even other people. He went to soccer camp and tball games this week. Oops! I feel awful if we gave it to other people! I had no idea! They gave me an antibiotic for Logan and for Avery since she had started symptoms as well. Yesterday, after we found out and I picked Logan up at soccer camp, we got medicine going and watched movies all day. That Netflix membership has now paid for itself! Today, Rylee woke up with a sore tummy and now has diarrhea as well... So... A lot more poop to come! Looks like more movies and PJs for us and more laundry for mom! The good news is Logan's fever broke this morning and he is acting much better. It only took a WEEK! I'm hoping since the girls should be on medicine sooner, it won't be as long. I'm REALLY hoping for that. I am SO tired of cleaning up poop!!! Not the best start to summer break... Its got to get more exciting from here, right?

500

I just made my 500th post!!! Holy cow!!! I thought it was worth mentioning...

My Nudist

So.... I think we have a nudist situation on our hands. The last 2 mornings when I have gone in to get Avery out of her crib, she has been COMPLETELY naked! The first morning it wasn't too bad because she had just taken off her PJs and her diaper right before I came in. This morning when I went in, all of her sheets, stuffed animals and pillow pet were all covered in pee! I found her diaper thrown over by the closet - totally dry! Which means, she probably slept all night in the buff! And peed in her crib a lot!
When I went in to get her this morning, I called Darren in to witness the nakedness and he told her "No, NO" and you should have seen her poor little face. I think it broke her heart to be in trouble and her little lip stuck out so far! It was a little sad! I was about to get my camera to take a picture, but then that happened and I couldn't leave her.
So...If you have any suggestions on how to keep clothes ON at night, please let me know. Apparently, we need them!!!

In other fun Avery news, she is talking a LOT these days. It seems like it has doubled or tripled her vocabulary in the last week or so and we can understand her so much more. Some of her new favorite words to say are apple, yellow, purple, Abby (abby cadabby). The colors are my favorite. She does the sign for them, too. I thought she was just saying the words, but the other night when I was getting her out of the tub, I grabbed her brown hooded towel and she wouldn't get out. She kept saying "lello" (yellow) and then I realized she wanted the YELLOW towel on the back of the bathroom door! Smart little stinker! I also got out some fruit snacks the other day and she got very mad! I was confused because she had been saying "nack" over and over so I let her choose from the canister of them. She put back the red ones I got her and pulled out the blue package and said "blue". I was in shock! Some of my favorite words she says are ones with a ck - the way she says them is so funny! She really enunciates and it is hard for her to get out. Like duck and backpack. And tonight she was saying popcorn and making Daddy and I laugh!

I was reading Avery a book last night and it is a little peek-a-boo book that asks a question on every page. Every time I read the question, like "Who is hiding in the bush?" She would raise her hand and say excitedly, "Me, ME!!!" It was so funny! I Love that baby! She is getting some SERIOUS personality these days!
