Parties and Programs

I guess I am just going to post backwards for a little bit... The week before Christmas was a little crazy at our house with lots going on, as I'm sure it was at everyone's house. It started the Sunday before Christmas (Dec. 19) with the Webber Christmas party. Curt and Carla were in town and blessed little baby Cameron and afterwards we had yummy food at Bill and Pat's house and a little party where the cousins exchanged gifts. The kids love any chance to see their cousins, and we had a lot of fun.
Avery looking cute in her Christmas dress. There was so much going on, she wouldn't really cooperate for a picture.
Avery and her cute cousin Haley. We love this girl!!! She is so sweet with the little ones.
When the gift exchange was getting started, I was giving the kids the presents to give and we usually go in order. Logan just handed his to Hayden and he tore it open before it even started. Oh well! Logan loves this game and was really excited to give it to Hayden.
Miss Avery got to be the #2 opener...well...#3 if you count that Hayden went first. She gave a little monkey ball to baby Cam first, but he was asleep so there are no pictures of it. She is pretty good at tearing into those presents now.
A camera!!!
She loves it and had to have it open right away. It was a little crazy so I'm not sure which cousin it was from. It was one of her McCann cousins.
Rylee opening her present.
Yeah! A Pinkalicious puzzle!
Thanks Chloee! She also got some of the cutest bows from Aunt Mandy as part of her present.
Logan opening his present from Madi.
Toy Story parachute guys!
Ry was SO excited to give her present to Haley. She carefully picked out 2 lip glosses and 3 nail polishes and had so much fun shopping and talked about that present for days! She is such a girly-girl!
Grandma and Grandpa got a Kinect and had it all set up for after presents. We had a BLAST! The first game we played was the dancing game and it was hilarious! If I wasn't afraid for my life, I would post some of the videos of the adults playing on here. I have some serious blackmail material! Logan refused to play because it was rated T, even though we told him it was OK. (I know...we are great parents encouraging it when he says no....) At the end, he got to play Kinect Sports and he was in HEAVEN! He had a blast and even did a knee slide when he scored on the soccer game. I think it was supposed to be for the kids, but the grown-ups were loving it, too and had a hard time giving turns to the kids. It was pretty funny!
Rylee in some of Grandma's lovely dress-ups. She has so much fun with her girl cousins!
Rylee is so happy when Raegan is in town!

Tuesday, (Dec 21) was Logan's Christmas program. He was SO excited!!!
He told me he needed to dress up and wear something nice, like a church shirt. I was pretty surprised that he would tell me that since he loves to wear warm up pants to school.
Isn't he cute? He is looking so grown up! And no...that is not food on his face. He has some seriously chapped lips!
Logan sitting with his class. I love their HUGE tree hats! He was so cute and smiled and waved at us the whole time.
I went up and took this one before the program started. The lighting in there was awful so none of the pictures were turning out.
I love this face!!! (He is on the back row in the plaid shirt...) Logan sang his little heart out! He knew all the songs and actions so well and he was so cute during the whole program. They sang a lot of songs and I was surprised how well he knew them ALL! He loved the one about the animals down in Texas because it said the word "underwear" and he loved singing Rudolph and "Feliz Navidad", which was so cute hearing Kindergarteners sing.
Logan and his teacher, Miss Renee, after the program. She is the BEST and we adore her!
Logan with his candy house...and Ry snuck in there, too. He got to take it home after the program.
Logan and Mom
Logan and Daddy
Logan's cute little fans - Aunt Vanessa came with us, too, but she refused to be in the picture.
Logan got to leave right after the program, which he thought was so neat! I felt so bad for the one kid whose parents didn't come and had to stay at school. Logan did such a good job that we decided to treat the kids to Aggie Ice Cream. They loved that!
Ry with her PINK ice cream - She never cares about the flavor, as long as the color is PINK!
It was really bright and when we went to run other errands, Ry really wanted her sunglasses. And then everyone else wanted them, too. I don't know why, but I thought it was kind of funny. She looks so cute!
Logan looks like a cool dude, too.
Avery had hers on, but she didn't keep them on for more than about 10 seconds. She is still stinkin' cute though.
That same night, Ry had her Joy School program. She was SO excited and had told us about it for weeks! She wanted to be sure that we knew that moms and dads and brothers and sisters could all come.
We had a yummy dinner first. Here is Ry with her little joy school buddy, Arita. They are the only girls in her class.
Ry got to be Mary for their play and she was thrilled! She kept telling me about her blue scarf. She loved it! She was telling me how it "goes all around my face like this, but not too tight like choking."
The angel appearing to Mary - This was my favorite part but the camera missed it! The narrator said that Mary thought and thought and Ry pointed to her temple and really worked hard at looking like she was thinking. It was adorable!
The manger scene. Since the Joy school class only has 4 kids, we needed to fill in some rolls with the older siblings. None of the boys would be Joseph, so poor Eden had to do it.
Logan was thrilled that he got to be in the play and loved being a wise man.
Rylee looking so pretty.
After the nativity, they sang a couple of songs. They sang one about baby Jesus' birth called "Far Across the Sea" and they sang "The Very Best Part of Christmastime". Ry loved it and knew them both so well!
Avery was a good little spectator and loved clapping for it when it was all over.
Isn't she cute?
Ry's cute Joy School class: Arita, Jake, Rylee and Andrew
Avery stole the baby Jesus when we were finished and made a run for it. Silly girl!
Wednesday (Dec 22) was Logan's last day of school and his Kindergarten party. I was a little bummed he had school all the way until then. I was hoping he would have more time off. I helped with one of the stations for his class and we made these Rudolph cupcakes. They looked cute, but they were a bit of a disaster with kindergarteners and made a big mess! Oh well!
Logan's cupcake.
Between all these activities, we also had Aggie basketball games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8:00 pm! I only went to one with the girls. Darren went on Tuesday all by himself (he is a true fan!) and my brothers came and went with Darren and Logan on Thursday. It kind of made a busy week a little crazy! I would like to talk to the people who schedule those games!!! Not a great time! We do love the holidays, though and had lots of fun with our parties and seeing Logan and Rylee in their cute programs.
