The kids LOVE looking at the water - It is really high right now so it made me a little nervous...especially since Logan kept talking about jumping in!
Darren is already wearing his Aggie blue, too! He and Logan went for Aggie Ice Cream and today when we drove past the Logan City cemetery he said he would like to buried there, as close to the Spectrum (the basketball stadium) as possible! Ha-Ha!Sunday, June 1, 2008
God's Country
My dad was born and raised in Cache Valley and has always affectionately referred to it as God's Country, which I never really understood until now! After living in the Vegas desert for the past 4 years, this place looks so beautiful and green - especially after such a wet spring. We are Loving it! We have been up the canyon a few times so far. Darren took Logan to feed the ducks the other day and he had so much fun! Darren and I were both sick all weekend and the kids were bouncing off the walls, so we finally got off the couch today and went for a little drive up Logan Canyon and walked around. (This is why we are looking so fabulous...we just threw some clothes on the kids after being in PJs and throwing up all weekend...) It was so pretty and the kids loved it! If you have never been to Cache Valley, consider this your invitation to come and visit us. We are so excited to enjoy this beautiful place this summer! All of these beautiful places are just 10 minutes from our new home...

Brooke,
I can't believe that four years have come and gone. I am so happy for you that things have worked out so well. And you got to leave veagas just like you always wanted. I can relate to how you felt sad. As fun as it is to bag on this place all the time, it does get to you after a while. Have I told you my plan to buy a cemetary plot up in Preston. That way I can look forward to being burried in Cache Valley. I figure dying is the only way I will every leave this city for good. But after ten years, I am finally starting to resign myself to that fact. I am so glad you have this blog, because I feel like I still know what is going on in your life. We do come to Logan often, so next time I come, I will give you a call.
take care, and good luck with all the unpacking.
Ahh, I love the canyon! It is so beautiful. I am happy for you to have it so close by. I miss you tons! Our ward is huge and all young families. 16 girls are expecting before November! That is insane to me. We got asked to speak last night from the bishopric on Sunday when they came over!!!!! I am freaking out!! O well. Love you girl!! Hope to talk on the phone soon when I am out of our house and have service!!
Yeah!!! You are back in UT. Jon has also been wearing a lot of Aggie blue lately and even went as far as buying season tickets for Football. I'm an aggie and all, but I'm not too excited about sitting through what will probably be a rough season. The bright spot will be getting to stop by and see you guys.
I put my hand over my heart when I read your post. How I love Cache Valley, the Aggies, Aggie ice cream, old main hill, Logan Canyon, did I mention El Sol??? My favorite Mexican food in the world. The mall has a little to be desired, but I can take the good with the bad. Consider yourselves lucky!! I'm glad that you guys are enjoying it. We miss you!
I am glad you guys are all moved and sounds like mostly settled. It looks beautiful there right now. Two of my sisters live in Logan and I have been there two times to visit and it was nice. It was very laid back and relaxing. I hope everything works out for you guys and hope you are feeling better too.
