Happy Halloween!

In honor of Halloween tomorrow, I tortured my children with a little mini photo shoot.  I LOVE their costumes this year!

First, there is my sweet little tree frog.  I love him!

Avery is Doc McStuffins.  It is kind of a new Disney cartoon and Avery's FAVORITE show.  Here is a picture if you haven't seen her.
Avery was a little upset that her hair wasn't black, but I thought we did a pretty good job putting her costume together since there wasn't one you could buy.

Then, there is my beautiful and sassy Merida.  From the Disney movie Brave.  I LOVE her wig!  It is her 3rd year in a row sporting a wig.  She loves to dress up.  I must say that Rylee has a personality kind of similar to Merida so I think it was a good costume choice for her.

She HAD to show off those shoes.  They are kind of hard to see...

And my Lloyd ZX.  He's from Ninjago.  And his dad is pretty much amazing and made this WHOLE costume!  I showed him a link online of a similar one and asked him if he thought he could do something similar since all the Green Ninja costumes were SOLD OUT.  Unless you wanted to pay $100 on ebay.  He went above and beyond and made a costume even better than the one I found.  And I think he actually liked doing it, though I don't know if he would admit it.  And Logan was THRILLED with it!  He just can't walk too well.  We went to the Pumpkin Walk the other night and when he stepped up onto the curb, he toppled right over.  Poor kid!  It did look pretty funny though.

Halloween Costumes

Before Halloween, I took the kids out and did a little photo shoot of them in their costumes. I love getting them all dressed up and they each had a fun time choosing what to be this year!

First, Logan the Jedi. This costume was actually what my mom made him for his birthday. It worked out perfectly. We ordered him a Jedi braid to complete the outfit and used some boot covers from his Peter Pan costume from a couple years ago. He ended up hating the braid but I made him wear it for pictures.

Next, was Miss Rylee - She went through about 10 costume changes before she finally made up her mind. She kept saying Rapunzel, but then she changed that a couple times and finally settled on Dorothy. I don't know where she came up with that idea. We saw the Wizard of Oz play at the high school last year and she really liked it, but I was pretty surprised that was her choice. Until she mentioned that she would HAVE to have sparkly red shoes and then I realized that the shoes were the reason why! I found her the perfect Dorothy dress that even had sequins (SO Rylee) and the most hilarious wig and a little basket and Toto, which she loved! So many accessories! She was in heaven.
And little Avery got to be Nemo. Not that she had much of a choice. She was really too little to have much of an opinion and we already had the costume from when Rylee was that age. It is one of my favorites! I love the cute little tail and fins and how funny she looks when she walks in it. She hated the hat, but overall, I think she was pretty happy as Nemo.

Trick or Treat

My poor kids are out trick-or-treating in the rain and I'm waiting on trick-or-treaters, but our neighborhood is very slow! My kids looked so stinkin' cute in their costumes, so I thought I'd share some pictures!!! Happy Halloween!!!

The cutest butterfly you will ever see!!!
Princess Ariel! She won cutest costume at the Halloween party last night at church, much to the dismay of her brother...
