On Wednesday (Apr 21), Avery FINALLY rolled from her back to her tummy. She is almost 7 months now, so this one took awhile! I laid her down to change her bum, and she just flipped right over like she has always been doing it. She hasn't repeated the feat yet - No matter how much I coax her to try and get it recorded on film, she has no interest in doing it again. She has been rolling from her belly to her back for awhile, but she still doesn't do that very often either.
Up to this point, Avery has been so content all the time, that sometimes I wonder if she will ever have the desire to roll much or crawl or even walk. When Rylee was this age, she had been crawling for about a month or so, but Avery's personality is so different. Rylee wanted to go from the second she was born and Avery is much more content and calm. If you set Avery down with a toy, she is just as happy as can be and doesn't seem interested in going anywhere. My favorite is when she gets excited, her little toes and feet circle and circle over and over. I love those little toes in motion! Just this week she has started to get frustrated or mad if she can see something and can't reach it. When she sits, she keeps her feet pretty spread, almost like the splits, so she can reach pretty far without toppling over, but if something is a little too far, she has started to get mad. She growls and makes this funny gurgling sound and has gotten pretty loud lately. She also puts her head down over and over, like she is willing herself to move, so maybe crawling isn't too far away. She seems especially interested in going when she is watching Logan and Rylee run all over. I think she is starting to want to join in on their fun. If crawling is coming, I better get babyproofing! We have WAY too many action figures with little pieces and barbie shoes around here!
