Miss Avery - 3 Years Old

Here are Avery's 3 year old pictures.  (They were taken in October) She is SO grown up!

And these are a few pictures from her Doc McStuffins themed birthday celebrations.

This little lady has some serious sass!  We love her!  She keeps us laughing all the time and she has SO much personality lately.  I think this is my favorite age.  They are so funny and have formed their own personalities and opinions but are still so little and talk so cute.  If I could bottle her voice, I would!  I love it!

Here is a bit about Avery at 3 years old.
Favorite Color:  PINK  (Is there another choice?)
Favorite TV Show:  Doc McStuffins  (before that it was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
Favorite Movie:  She said Doc McStuffins again, but it isn't really a movie.  A couple I would say are favorites are Despicable Me and Tangled
Favorite Princess:  "The one on Beauty and the Beast"  - This changes almost daily...
Favorite Book:  "The one we read-ed"  She loves all books.  She likes to make up her own stories and read to us more than she likes us to read to her though.
Favorite Bedtime Song:  I am a Child of God  (The RSL anthem is a close second...)
Favorite Game:  To play Little People
Favorite Stuffed Animal to Sleep With:  Coconut (Or Toconut) her little monkey
Favorite Food:  Chicken Nuggets
Favorite Treat:  Chocolate
Favorite Cereal:  Lucky Charms  (She usually only eats the marshmallows though)
Favorite Game:  Where is Sock Monkey?
Favorite Toy:  Fairy Little People Set and Doc McStuffins bag
Favorite Restaurant:  Chuck-a-Gramma  (better known as Chuck-A-Rama.  The morning of her birthday I asked where she wanted to go for her birthday dinner and she said "that place where you get your own food"  It took awhile, but after she said where Logan went for his birthday, I asked, "Oh, Chuck-a-Rama?"  And she said, "yeah, Chuck-a-Gramma"  and that is what she called it all day.  It gave us all a good laugh!)
Favorite Drink:  Chocolate Milk
Best Friend:  Hallie Bladen
Favorite Ice Cream:  Chocolate
What do you want to be when you grow up?  Doc McStuffins
Favorite Birthday Gift:  Doc McStuffins Doctor Bag
Favorite Pet:  A dragon like Stuffie (Also from Doc McStuffins...)
Favorite Song:  Rapunzel Song.  (Ever since Rylee's recital in May, she requests to dance to the song from the Tangled soundtrack called "Something that I want" all the time and has some very cute little choreographed moves to it.  So funny!)  She loves the whole Tangled soundtrack, too and also "Everyday I'm Shufflin'" (thanks to Uncle Jeff!) and I Am a Child of God.
What makes you Happy?  Playing
What makes you Sad:  That nobody shares with me
What makes you Laugh:  Gig-ga-ling
What makes you Scared:  Dragons
What makes you Angry:  Who doesn't like me
What do you Dream about:  I love Bronson, Mom, Rylee, Dad and Logan.  Whose mean to me, I don't love.
Favorite Things to do or Play:  Play Family, Play Little People, Ride my scooter and bike, Swing, Watch shows, play daddy's "hi-pad"

We love our Avery!  She is so full of life.  She is ALWAYS pulling a silly face or doing something silly.  She loves anything pink, baby dolls, princesses, her baby brother and doing whatever her big sister is doing.  Her and Rylee fight a lot but she really looks up to her and wants to do everything Rylee can do.  She will sit by Rylee and color and "write" just like Rylee does.  She is always asking when she can go to school like the big kids, too.  Avery has a lot of energy!  She is always on the go and she is fearless!  She loves to pick out her own clothes and prefers to wear jammies whenever possible.  She changes her jammies multiple times a day, but rarely matches tops and bottoms.  She especially loves her silky pajama pants.  Those are her favorite!  She also loves to pick out her OWN outfits and comes up with some VERY interesting ones.  She hates jeans and always wants leggings.  Avery loves people and is very friendly most of the time, but she can take a few minutes to warm up.   She loves watching shows on TV and she is very adept at using our electronic devices.  She can find games and anything she needs on my phone or daddy's ipad.  (She has also reset my phone and lost all my memory twice...)  Avery loves to dress-up and she loves to dance.  She loves Tangled.  She loves to perform recitals for us.  She will always make Rylee "pronouce" her before a show.  She loves to snuggle and cuddle and she is so little that it is so fun to cuddle up with her on the couch.  She has the cutest little voice and talks really well for a 3 year old.  She knows all her colors and can usually sing her ABC's without a problem.  It does have to be her idea though.  And she can count to about 8, and then it gets a little sketchy.  A lot of random numbers start after that, including eleventeen.  She hates having her hair done and gets SO mad if I attempt piggies or anything with elastics.  She wants "only a clippie!"  everyday.  Shortly after her birthday, Avery decided to start going potty and she was totally potty trained with in a couple weeks!  The youngest baby at our house yet!  Yay Avery!

We are so glad Avery is part of our family!  She keeps us all laughing and happy!

What do you dream about:  Mostly funny dreams like Kruncha and Knuckle hopped out of the computer and started whacking each other in the head with their bone clubs!
What do you want to be when you grow up:  Paleontologist at DisneyWorld Dinoland USA - (He came up with this idea and couple months ago.  He couldn't decide if he wanted to be a Paleontologist or if he wanted to be a Disney Imagineer.  Then he came up with this - He could be an imagineer at DinoUSA in the Animal Kingdom at Disneyworld.  He was pretty excited that he could do both!)
What are your favorite things to do/play:  Play with friends, Legos, Video Games, Hang out with my family, visit fun places...  "then put etc."  (Yep...  he really said that!)
What was your favorite thing about being 6:  Everything I did when I was six.
What are you excited about being 7:  Having this summer

Logan is such a funny and special little boy.  He is quickly growing up and showing a lot of signs of entering that new stage of his life.  One that I have dreaded.  I think he is quickly becoming a "tween!"  He has started to be more sassy, which is not really something we have had to deal with from Logan in the past.  He uses phrases like "that's not fair!" and "why should I?" all of a sudden and sometimes I wonder where my baby went!  He is still very sweet most of the time.  He will still hold my hand in public, although he will occassionally wipe kisses off!  He still loves to snuggle up with us and he still sucks his thumb and loves to rub your finger while he does that and hold it close to his face.  I don't know if he will ever outgrow that...

I frequently tell people that Logan is a 70 year old in a 7 year old's body.  He just seems like an old man sometimes.  He loves to read the paper in the mornings while he eats his breakfast and especially check on "his team's" scores.  He only eats the most plain flavored things.  He uses some of the funniest phrases for a little boy and has detailed explanations about everything and a better vocabulary than me!  He is extremely cautious about everything.  And he is always reminding me that things are "inappropriate."  For example, I took him to the drive-in this summer to see Ice Age 4 and he told our primary President that the movie was ok, but was "way too inappropriate for kids!"  What???  I also bought a video game rated T and Logan likes to remind me that he isn't supposed to be playing those kind of inappropriate games.

One of the things I love about Logan most is his passion for life.  He is always so happy and gets so excited about things and it makes life more fun at our house.  When he loves something, it almost consumes him and he becomes obsessed!  He has a few things he is so passionate about and he learns so much about them and is an expert on them.  For awhile, he has been really into dinosaurs and Star Wars.  He knows so much about both.  He can tell you all about light sabers - Like who uses which kind and what type of crystal is inside them and where that is mined.  It is crazy!  He also loves sports and can quote all kinds of statistics - including jersey numbers and where players are from and the scores of games.  Over the last year or so, he has gotten really into legos.  He has several Lego dictionaries and can tell you all about all the different types of sets and information like how many peices they have and what year they were made.  It is crazy!  He has started to really like fancy cars (which is something his dad also loves!) and he loves to spot cars and wants to know about their models, how fast they can go and how much they cost.  He recently started loving Ninjago and talks about it non-stop.  It is almost an illness!  He really can't stop!  He wakes up first thing in the morning and just starts going on and on about all things Ninjago.  And he just went with Darren to the air show in May and has become really into airplanes.  He is always looking them up on the ipad and wanting to know about their wingspans and how much they cost.  The crazy thing is he usually remembers everything about all of this!  I have no idea how he could possibly remember it all but he does!  He is like a big sponge!

Logan is an incredibly bright kid.  He just gets things.  School comes really easy for him and his test scores are always off the charts.  He has an amazing memory and capacity for learning and amazes us constantly.  He loves learning and his favorite books to read are usually books about nature or fact books, like his lego encylopedia or his dinosaur dictionary.  He loves to quote us random facts about things.  He has read a lot of other books for school and some of his favorites are the Magic Treehouse series and the A to Z mysteries series.  He and Rylee play Magic treehouse together all the time.  It is really cute.  (He has also started teaching Rylee about legos and Ninjago...)  Logan can do math really fast in his head.  Faster than me.  And he loves science and especially leanring about animals.

Logan is a very gentle spirit.  He gets scared easily and has a lot of anxiety about anything that he isn't sure about...  like the rides at Disneyland or going to the store in the month of October when there are spooky Halloween decorations around.  It is a little sad how terrified he gets.  But I think that is part of what makes him so sweet and caring.  He is the BEST big brother EVER!  He is so kind to the girls and rarely fights with them.  This has gotten worse in the last month or so ( I think it is part of that beginning "tween" transformation...)  but for the most part he lets them play with him and includes them and is so kind to them.  And our girls are a little crazy sometimes.  Even when they are beating him up, he won't fight back.  He has a special love for little Bronson and they seem to already have a strong bond.  Logan is so gentle with him and soft and before he was born, all Logan could talk about was how excited he was to snuggle him.  Bronson LOVES when Logan talks to him and gives him the biggest smiles.  You can tell he looks up to him already.

Logan is a people person.  Everyone who knows Logan just loves him.  He has such an infectious personality.  It is hard not to be happy when you are around him.  He is a great friend to others and is so kind and always includes everyone.  He is always concerned about others and never wants to hurt anyone's feelings or make anyone feel bad.  He loves his friends and begs for playdates with them all the time.  I guess that is another sign he is growing up - He would rather go play with someone else than hang out with his family!

Logan has many amazing qualities...  He is not one that likes to work!  He complains about his chores constantly and hates to clean his room or work in the yard and always thinks it isn't fair!  He also doesn't know how to tie his shoes yet and hates to practice!  I think this is because most things come so easy to him that he doesn't really know how to work for things.  He also has a hard time being neat with his schoolwork sometimes.  He is getting better at taking time and writing neat.

Logan hates to dress up.  He loves to be comfy.  He loves to wear his ratty old tshirts and sweat pants and basketball shorts and would do that every day if I would let him!

Logan is a pretty avid sports fan.  He loves his Aggies!  He kept running into Brady Jardine over this past year in a lot of places and Brady remembers him now because Logan always wants to run up and say hi to him.  He has lots of jersey numbers and stats memorized, mostly for basketball but a little for football, too.  He loves to go to the games and he cheers like crazy!  Especially for his favorite players!  He also loves Real Salt Lake and loves when he gets to go with Daddy to those games.  He is a big Jazz fan and for some reason he also loves the Miami Heat.  He also is very excited to watch the Summer Olympics and cheer for the USA!

Logan is a typical boy who LOVES his electronics!  I can get him to do just about anything if he wants to play Xbox.  He also loves to play Daddy's ipad or on the computer or watch Ninjago or the Kratt Brothers (which is a cartoon where they learn about animals on PBS).  He doesn't love to be outside as much at the girls.  He would rather stay in and play electronics.  When he is outside, he LOVES his scooter!  He is so fast at it.  And a bit wreckless!  Which is a little different for someone so cautious.  He finally learned to ride a 2 wheeler this year.  The only reason he tried is because Rylee wanted her training wheels off.  He wouldn't try it before because he was worried he would fall and he told him he probably would.  Once Rylee was doing it, he wanted to do it, too and learned really fast.  Logan's worst punishment is if he gets electronics taken away!

Logan has been playing piano for awhile now and is getting pretty good.  It is usually a struggle to get him to practice, but he learned the Star Wars theme for his recital in May and loved learning it.  He had it memorized and loved playing it for people.  He is also still playing soccer.  He loves it.  He loves being out there with the other kids and he loves the game.  He sometimes seems to be more of a bystander than a player.  I think he gets a bit caught up in the excitement sometimes and forgets to play.  Sometimes he is even doing play-by-play commentary.  (I think if the Paleotologist carreer doesn't work out, he would be a great sports caster!)  He also took swimming lessons again and is starting to be a really good swimmer.  He tried Jr Jazz basketball for the first time this year and he LOVED it and he also played tball again this year.  He was much more aggressive this time and loved playing pitcher and first base where he could be in on the action all the time.  It was fun watching him and Rylee play together and the difference in their personalities out there.

Logan has a really creative mind.  He doesn't love to do art projects and things like that, but he is very creative and imaginative in his play and it is so funny to listen to him while he is playing.  His imagination runs constantly.  He is always making up the best stories or coming up with these "what if?" scenarios and then will keep expanding on them and making up all kinds of things.  I love when he plays and gets into imagination mode.  I just wish that he would write down some of his stories because they are amazing.  But, writing is not really his thing.  It takes too long and he is always in a hurry to do something else.  He just wakes up in the morning going a million miles an hour talking about something.  Right now it is usually Ninjago.  He goes like that all day tell us all sorts of information about them and making up stories and situations for the characters and even clever dialogue.  Sometimes the amount of Ninjago information he give me is more than I can handle but I love how creative and imaginative he can be.  He also likes to make up documentaries about animals and things.  It is pretty funny!  He has a great voice for voice-overs and I really think he could have a career in announcing someday.

Logan is hilarious.  He keeps us laughing all the time.  Sometimes its not really on purpose.  Just funny quotes and lines come out of his mouth.  He talks like an adult and uses words and phrases well beyond his years.  He has a little bit of a silly personality though and loves to make up jokes and make people laugh.  He loves being around our families and making all of his aunts, uncles and cousins laugh.  If I was better at writing down everything he said, I would have a BIG book that would be pretty darn funny!  I love him!  He keeps things so much fun!

Logan is such a special part of our family.  One of the reasons I love him so much is because he made me a mom.  I love all my children so much and I don't love any one more than another.  But there is something truly special about your first born.  Maybe its because you feel sorry for all the things you mess up with them as you learn about being a parent.  I just love my Log-Bog.  He is constantly teaching me so much.  About love.  About friendship.  About being Christlike.  About passion and happiness.  About kindness.  About learning and life.  He has the best heart!  He is a great example to me and so many more. I want to be more like him!

Oh, our Rylee!  She is full of SO much life and I love that she is her own person.  Her and I sometimes butt heads. A lot.  I think that is because we both like to be in charge....  She is very opinionated and independent and also can be very sweet.  Rylee has so many great qualities.  It is so amazing to see how much she has grown up over the last year and all the amazing things she can do!

Rylee is a great helper when she wants to be!  Like anything else, if Rylee decides SHE wants to do something, then she is great at it.  If it is Mom's idea, it doesn't always work out...  But she really is a great helper most of the time.  She loves to make people happy and is usually be the best cleaner and helper around our house.  She loves to dust and is great at dusting the banister or helping Daddy in the yard.  She doesn't mind getting dirty at all.  She digs in the dirt and will pull weeds or just about anything.  She also LOVES to organize and is so great at it!  She is always sorting things or arranging things and gets so much joy out of it.  One day, I said we were going to clean up the toy room and she said, "Mom!  Can we dump out all the bins and sort everything and label them?"  My kind of girl!  She is also great at setting the table and I love to watch her fold her clothes!

Rylee is very artistic.  She loves to draw pictures for people and is a great little artist!  I love her pictures.  They always make me smile.  At Christmas time, she drew a picture for EVERYONE on both sides of our family.  That is no small feat - I think it was close to 50 pictures!  She loves to do nice things for people to make them smile.  She can color for so long and she also loves to write.  She is constantly asking me how to spell things and is writing notes or in her "journal".  She loves just about any kind of craft project and gets so excited when we do things like that.  She also loves her Easy bake oven or to help in the kitchen.  She is always asking if she can "help make".

Rylee is incredibly particular about things.  This is part of the reason she is such a good helper.  She likes things to be JUST so!  She will spend so much time up in her room creating elaborate set-ups with her toys.  (And gets SO angry when her little sister messes them up!)  She is great at making her bed and always has it looking so neat and will even help Logan with his. She also loves to plan - She had so many specific plans for her birthday party and was so funny about making sure it was just right.  She even designed and colored her cake for me so I could make it just right.  She loves having parties and she is already planning next year's birthday and I think she has the theme for her next 3 picked out.  We'll see how many times that changes.... Right now, she has a Hello Kitty theme picked out for next year.

Rylee has a great imagination and plays so many fun things.  She gets along so well with Logan most of the time and they will play Magic Treehouse or Star Wars or going to Disneyland or all kinds of imaginative things.  She and Avery will also spend a lot of time playing "family", although there is a lot of fighting about being the mom.  They also like to play Annie (from the movie), Princesses, Dressups, Little People or school or dance class.  She loves to play anything where she can be the teacher.  She is a great big sister and is really excited about the new baby. I love to listen to her when she is pretending to be on the phone.  It is so funny the pretend conversations she will have and the grown-up tone that she uses and some of words she chooses.  Sometimes it also makes me cringe...  I hear some things and know right where they came from...

Rylee LOVES preschool and is doing so well.  Before she went, I wasn't even sure if she knew all her ABC's because it wasn't something she showed much interest in.  But she has been doing great and is a little smartie.  She gets so excited to bring home her work and takes a lot of pride in it.  She has great handwriting and colors really well and loves to do art projects of any kind.  Around Christmas, they started learning sight words and Rylee was so excited about that.  She would go through all our books searching for the words she knew (like it and is) and was so proud of herself that she could read words.  She started reading more and more and is reading really well now.  It is amazing!  When Rylee sets her mind to something, she will work and work at it.  She has pretty much taught herself to read and also to snap and is learning to ride her bike with no training wheels.  She gets so excited when she masters something and is so proud of herself!

Rylee is a bit of a Princess in many ways.  She LOVES pretty clothes and sparkles and accessories.  She loves to dress up and she loves to pick out her clothes and shoes.  However, Rylee also loves to be outside and get dirty.  She can always find the mud and she loves to dig in the garden or pretty much anything that gets her dirty.  She is also really rough and tumble.  She is always falling or bumping on something and she can wrestle with the best of them.  Her and Avery get into some pretty instense fights....

Rylee is a bit sassy.  Ever since she could walk, she would constantly put her little hands on her hips and walk around so sassy!  Sometimes Darren and I will just watch the way she is walking and look at each other.  We usually laugh but I think we are both a little afraid....  She gets those little hips swinging and is just SO sassy!  Sometimes she also seems to be in her own little world.  Besides the way she walks, she also goes around singing songs a lot.  They are usually ones that she just makes up as she goes about whatever is going on at our house and they are pretty funny.  She seems to really love to sing while she is going to the bathroom.

Rylee can be very stubborn.  Maybe this will be a good thing someday.  She definitly knows what she wants.  Sometimes this can lead to problems.  For instance, we tend to fight quite a bit about what she is going to wear to school or how she is going to wear her hair.  She is very persistent and throws some VERY dramatic fits, complete with kicking, screaming and slamming doors.  And that girl can SCREAM!!!  I've never heard anything quite like it... It is SO high pitched!  She has a bit of an attitude at times and the way she talks back sometimes makes me VERY nervous for her teenage years.  And I don't know where she could have picked it up - I think she just came that way.  She does have a bit of a temper.  When Avery doesn't play the way she wants, she can get mad really quickly and I can always tell that it isn't going to end well when Rylee uses her "mean voice" and squeezes Avery's arm.  Those two are really the best of friends and the worst of enemies.

Rylee is a bit of a drama queen.  Everything is always very dramatic.  She has the most expressive eyes and hand motions and I love watching and listening to her when she tells a story.  It is always entertaining and sometimes you don't even have to know what she is saying to know what she is talking about because of the way she uses her face.  And she has started the art of eye rolling at a very early age.

Rylee is a Daddy's girl.  She adores her daddy and I think she knows that he can't say no to her very well and uses it to her advantage.  She gets so excited whenever he comes home and loves to go run errands or go on dates with him.  She loves to work with him in the yard or make things in the kitchen.

Rylee LOVES to shop.  She is so funny and has to see everything before she can make a decision and always seems to know exactly what she wants.  Shopping with her can take quite awhile.  Even just for a present for a friend's birthday party.  She may have gotten this from me...

Rylee has been taking dance this year and she loves it!  She loves the outfits she gets to wear there each week and she is really excited for the recital and the costumes!  She doesn't really seem interested at all in sports, despite my best efforts,  but she has been loving her dance class.  She makes Avery play dance class with her all the time at home and loves to give performances.  She loves to say "Presenting...  Rylee Webber" before each performance and she calls it "Pronouncing"

Rylee is a really good eater.  She always seems to choose really healthy things.  Even when Darren takes her for a treat, she will usually choose fruit over anything else and she is really reasonable about how much she eats at a time and will "save things for later" a lot.  She has very mature taste and loves things like shrimp and mushrooms and steak.

Rylee loves her friends.  She gets so excited for play dates and loves going to school and will always tell me all about them when she gets home.  Whenever we go to a park or anything, Rylee will always bring over some random kid and introduce me to her new friend.  She is really good at making new friends and loves people, although she can be kind of shy in new situations or around grown-ups. She can get embarassed really easily in new or uncomfortable situations and sometimes will be really silly when she is nervous.

Rylee has always been a really good talker, but she has a few funny things she says.  For instance, she still confuses tomatos and potatos.  She calls them both the wrong name all the time, even though we go over and over which is which.  I have stopped correcting her.  I think it is so funny!  She also says "hos-table" instead of hospital, even though you can tell she is trying so hard to say it right. And she calls family home evening "heavenly fam neving."Love, Love, Love that one!  I hope she never stops that one.  She also says "amn't I"  instead of aren't I.

We love our sweet Rylee and we are so proud of what a good little girl she is and how much she is learning and growing!  I just hope the next 5 years slow down a little bit...
