My kids have been playing so cute together lately. They have been doing a lot of playing Disneyland since we got home from vacation. The other day they were pretending to ride rides and then they would give each other little presents and say it was from one of the gift stores. Logan gave Rylee a space ring from the Space Mtn gift shop and Rylee was giving Logan car after car from CarsLand (which isn't open yet, but my kids like to pretend...).
Yesterday, it was a lot of Luke and Leia while they played Star Wars and the day before they were playing "Wipeout" and had built some sort of obstacle course. When I called Rylee, she said, "I'm stuck on the Shakeolater" (I have NO idea how you spell that...)
Just now I went upstairs to find all their stuffed animals "tucked in" on pillows and blankets in a nice straight line across most of the toyroom (totally Rylee's doing) and Rylee tucking Logan in and Logan commenting on what a nice camp they had made. They told me they were playing Camp Minnie and Mickey and they were on their way to Disneyland. Logan was wearing a jersey and he said they had to stop for Mickey's college baskteball game. SO cute!
Then, while I was giving Avery a bath, I hear this funny little song that Logan is chanting. (A little background. One of his favorite books as a baby was Brown Bear, Brown Bear and his nursery teacher used to sing it in a song, which is what he was doing, but he changed the words. Another side note, he is obsessed with the TV show Wipeout right now, which is what all the things he is singing about are, if you haven't seen the show....)
Logan's Song
Bruiseball, Bruiseball, what do you see? I see the Wipeout Zone looking at me
Wipeout Zone, Wipeout Zone, what do you see? I see the Big Balls looking at me
Big Balls, Big Balls, what do you see? We see the Gutbusters looking at us
Gutbusters, Gutbusters, what do you see? We see the Cinnastairs looking at us
Cinnastairs, Cinnastairs, what do you see? We see people cheering for us
People, People, what do you see? We see the scoreboard looking at us
Scoreboard, Scoreboard, what do you see? I see the obstacles looking at me
Obstacles, Obstacles, what do you see? (Then, somehow, it changed to Star Wars...another obsession) We see Star Wars looking at us
Star Wars, Star Wars, what do you see? We see Luke looking at us
Luke, Luke, what do you see? I see the Millennium Falcon looking at me
This kept going with Millennium Falcon, Y Fighter, Death Star, Darth Vader, Wookie, Jawas, Tai Fighter and a few more....
After I finished Avery's bath, I realized he was using his legos to build most of the things he was chanting about and changing them for each new thing. It was hilarious! How how I love my funny kids!!!

Bear Lake Day 4 - Minnetoka and Pickleville
Tuesday, we spent the morning hanging around the hotel and then headed to Minnetoka Cave. We were pretty bummed when we got there around noon only to find they were selling tickets for the 2:30 tour. Since we had 2 1/2 hours to kill, we decided to head back to the condo for lunch and then come back. It was a lot of driving and we were a little late for our tour, which made things a little crazy, but the cave was fun.
While we were waiting in line for tickets, Logan came over to show me what he caught - This butterfly! He just snagged it with his fingers. The poor butterfly! Logan thought that was pretty cool, though.
Rylee and Grandpa hanging out waiting for tickets
The cave sign said 444 stairs on the tour. Well...that is just into the cave! If you want to come back OUT again, that means 888 stairs! Maybe not the best idea when you are 7 months pregnant! It was a little rough, but thank goodness I had helpers to carry the kids, since they both wanted to be carried a good amount of the time! Here is Logan and Grandpa starting into the cave.
Cute Rylee and Uncle Jeff - I love that smile! She went from person to person and I think everyone had a turn carrying her in the cave.
The inside of the cave - It was pretty neat. Logan and my little brother Kyle were especially into it.
Me and the kiddos - Right after I took this, Rylee decided she was walking "by herself" and fell in the mud and COVERED herself in it, in brand new pants, of course! That girl finds messes everywhere!!!
The fam in the wedding room of the cave. They turned out the lights completely after we took this and it was SO dark!
This was the one formation in the cave that they were allowed to touch, so the kids thought that was pretty cool and were anxious to touch it, since they had wanted to touch everything the whole way anyway.

We made it! Here we are outside the cave at the end of the tour. We made it up and down 888 stairs (some of them pretty treacherous!) and lived to tell about it!
Rylee and her Grandpa
There were chipmunks everywhere around the walkways by the entrance to the cave. I think the kids had more fun watching them and chasing them than anything else. They thought they were hilarious!
Rylee watching the chipmunks - She wanted to catch one really bad.

Logan and Uncle Brad

Me and the kids before we headed home.
We had to hurry back to the condo, get cleaned up and head to our dinner at the Pickleville Playhouse. Darren was able to make it back and also Heather and Jay, so we were ALMOST all there....just missing Dean. The dinner was a cowboy dutch oven style dinner and was pretty good. I don't think I would pay that much for it again, but it was fun to go to once.

Enjoying our dinner!

There was awhile between dinner and the play, so we just hung out for awhile. Here is Logan and Daddy chilling.

Rylee and Logan both loved this funny tire horse. It kept them busy for awhile.

The play we saw was "The Hanging of Juanito Bandito". It was HILARIOUS! I was laughing so hard the entire time! I was a little nervous about how my kids would do, but they loved it, too and Logan even laughed out loud for most of the show. My friend had gone a couple weeks before and told me how good it was, so I was worried it wouldn't live up to my expectations, but it totally did and we had a great time! Even Darren enjoyed it and he isn't much for plays. My brothers, who are usually much "too cool" for this stuff quoted lines from the play for the rest of the week and Logan talked about it OVER and OVER again! Even Rylee still says funny things about "Nito Bandito" It was great!

The Treehouse
In February, we also took a little trip to the Children's Treehouse Museum in Ogden to meet up with our friends Jenn and Drew for Drew's 3rd birthday. The kids had a great time and it was a fun day! It was great to see them since they live pretty far away and we don't see them too often. My kids also love any excuse for a fun outing - especially if a birthday is involved!
My kids always like trying out all the instruments in the music room!
Rylee found a little person rocking chair - She always loves any kind of little chair or bench and has to sit in them! It is a little funny!
Rylee climbing through a tunnel over and over again - The kids were pretty bummed that the tree slide was closed, but they had fun doing lots of other things.
Logan and Drew had a great time at this train table
Logan and Rylee driving trains
Logan doing some climbing
Driving the firetruck!
Rylee really liked playing in the firetruck
My little Firegirl! I couldn't get Logan to hold still long enough to try this on and take his picture. He had a lot of fun running from exhibit to exhibit. Rylee is always up for some dress-ups and a picture though.
Logan at the dinosaur exhibit. This is right about when I decided we needed a potty break....Can you tell???
Drew really liked playing with the dinosaurs!
Rylee wasn't as in to the dinos as the boys...
Logan LOVED looking into this HUGE Magnifying glass. He thought it was so cool!
My little scientist!
I think this was Rylee's very favorite part of the museum! It was like the nursery at the hospital and Rylee went from bassinet to bassinet taking care of all three babies - feeding them bottles, wrapping them in blankets, burping them - It was so cute! She could have stayed there all day!

Nurse Rylee hard at work!
Can you tell his Daddy is a dentist? He is really into oral hygiene!
Rylee and Drew having a tea party - She loved this, too!!!
Rylee attempting to ride this horse
Logan playing pirates on this little ship

Afterwards, we headed over to Iggy's for a yummy birthday lunch with Drew and Jenn. The kids did pretty well and we survived! Logan was also excited to give Drew his present - some golf clubs and a car! (Logan picked it out himself!) Thanks again Jenn and Drew! It was fun - Let's meet again soon!
