City Days Celebration

July 20 - We love the cute little city that we live in and had fun at the City Days celebration!  We spent Friday night playing on all the blow up toys with the kids running all over, chatting with friends and finished off the night with a fireworks finale!  Here is sweet Bronson looking chubby.  He is almost 3 months old, but someone I saw that night asked if he was SIX months!  I was so sad at how quickly he is growing up!
Logan being a good brother and using his bum to help push Avery to the top of the slide.

Last year, Avery got stuck at the top of the slide and had to have the worker rescue her, but she had no trouble coming down by herself this year.  Just needed some help to get to the top fast enough for brother.

Love watching her face as she slides down!
Rylee slid down like this for some reason

Avery was doing some sassy dancing while we waited in line.

Logan couldn't wait to try out the jousting.  I was a little worried he would get a bit beat up or sad, because some of the kids were BIG!  But he loved it!  He was all smiles and laughing like crazy.

Crazy Logan on the slide.

The kids had so much fun trying everything.  I had to leave and go feed Bronson and Logan and Rylee were off playing and came back so excited to tell me they climbed the rock wall...  Dad was shaking his head in the background and informed me they only made it a few feet up.  Logan said, "What?  I'm afraid of heights!"
We found a great spot by some of our friends and loved watching the fireworks.  For a small town, they do some pretty great show!

At the end of our fun night.

July 21 - Saturday morning, we went to the city parade.  The kids had a great time! We always love a parade!

Logan was so excited for he and Bronson to have "matching" shirts.  They weren't an exact match, but pretty close.  I think he has felt left out of the girls matching for so long and loves to have someone to match now, too.

Poor Bronson was having a tough morning!  He is usually so chill when we go out and about and this is one of the first times I remember him being really fussy.  It was super hot and he was tired!  Eventually, he fell asleep and got a nap in his stroller.

Thank goodness for the binky!
Waving - I love how she waves at everyone in the parade!  The girls especially loved waving to the Princesses, of course!

Ready to collect some candy!!!

Normally, we stay and enjoy a few more of the festivities on Saturday afternoon, but this year we were off for some fun with our family.  Maybe next year Mom can win the softball championship again....

Pioneer Day

July 25th - Another summer holiday.... another parade! Pioneer Day fell on a Sunday this year, so all the celebrating took place Monday. We had a great time celebrating! We started out by going to a nearby parade with our friends, the Lifferths. We hate that they have moved away and we never get to see them, so it was really fun to get to hang out with them a little bit. This parade is one of our favorites because it is pretty short and the kids get SO much candy! They love it! Cute Rylee ready for the parade to startAvery practicing her parade wave
Rylee helping Avery get some candy
I don't think she really needed much help.... After so many parades this summer, she was a pro at scavenging the candy. She was a little hesitant to put it in the bag at first. I don't think she wanted it out of her hands, but she finally realized she could get a lot more and went with it.

Rylee and her cute buddy, OliviaLove these cute sisters! And Avery is smiling because she has a sucker in hand!
After the parade, the Lifferth's invited us over to their parent's house. We had a great time! They even let the kids (and Daddy) take a ride on their 4 wheeler! The kids loved it! Look how happy Avery is to "drive"!
Rylee and Logan take a turn. I think Logan would have rode these all day! We spent an hour or so just visiting with our friends. We sure miss them! Next, Daddy had to head off to work. He forgot that it was a holiday and didn't schedule it off and before he realized it, his day had filled with patients. Since Daddy was busy working, the kids and I headed to Ogden for Great-Grandma's yearly BBQ. We had a great time!
Swinging with Grandpa is always a favorite thing to do!
Grandpa flipping Avery around.... It makes Mom nervous, but she loves it and has no fear of all the crazy things he does to her.

The kids with Great-Grandma! We love her and are so glad she has this fun tradition!
After hanging out for awhile, we headed home. Avery was being silly so I took a few pictures of her. She is officially 22 months on this day. Growing up so fast!
Cute little stinker!
We finished off the night with sparklers with Daddy. Logan and Rylee were pretending they had Harry Potter wands and were saying spells

Avery says "sparkar" and it is so cute! She says it every time she sees a firework. She burned herself on the 4th on her sparkler, but she did better this time and we were much more careful. She really liked it!
