Logan's 7th Birthday, Part 1

June 24 - After Bronson's blessing, we had dinner and then it was time for Logan's birthday party celebration!  I hate combining things like this.  I think they should each get to have their own day and their own party, but it was such a busy month and we live so far away from most of our family that I didn't want to ask them to drive to our house again and I didn't know if we could find another day to do it.  So, we extended the festivities and it worked out just fine.  Logan didn't seem to mind and Bronson is too little to care anyway.  We started out with some present opening.  Logan was DYING to rip into his gifts!

Logan ended up getting completely spoiled by everyone!  We have so much family and they all love our Logan and got him some great gifts that he was VERY excited about!  Aunt Heather, Uncle Jay and Ethan and Robin got him a Lego Ninjago set - It was the Rattlecopter, I think.
Ethan really wanted to help open presents.
This gift was SO funny!  Logan had gone to the Real Salt Lake soccer game the night before with Daddy and all his brothers.  He was VERY excited about this party the next day and I guess he started asking everyone if they had gotten him a gift. Darren gave him a lecture about being polite and liking whatever you get.  So, Uncle Brian said, "I think I got you some toilet paper."  Logan said, "That would be fine."  So, the next day, Brian brought toilet paper all wrapped up.  Logan wasn't too sure what to do.  He said Thank You, but then when everyone else was laughing he realized it was a joke and laughed, too.  They also gave him the Ninjago Venamari shrine which he was VERY happy about!
A Hero Factory Lego guy from Uncle Curt, Aunt Carla, Raegan and Cam.
The McCanns gave him some cool glow-in-the-dark chalk.

MORE Ninjago stuff.  He was SO excited!
This was Jay's Storm fighter - A set he REALLY wanted!

Star Wars Lego set from Uncle Dean and Aunt Laura.  He also got some from Uncle Cory and Aunt Katie.  At least I think that is where they came from.  There were a lot of Legos to keep track of!   Can you tell this boy LOVES Legos???
Reading the card.
He actually ended up getting TWO Jay's Stormfighters.  One from Great-Grandma Pauline and one from Grandma and Grandpa Webber.  He got a few other duplicate items, too and some money and ended up with about $80 to spend!

Love this face!

Some Cars legos from Uncle Brad.  I think...
The Death Star from Uncle Brian and Aunt Vanessa

An Angry Birds shirt from Grandma and Grandpa Boman
This was my favorite!  He opened this banner Grandma Boman made him for his room and didn't know what it was.  His guess was a necklace...  haha!  I don't think he was overly excited, but mom was!  It will be so cute in his room.

More Legos - These were dino hunter ones and I think they were from Matt and Mandy.  I kind of lost track though.  So much stuff and SO much craziness!

Uncle Kyle gave Logan his old set of golf clubs.  Logan thought that was pretty cool.

Haley giving Logan his envelope from her and Uncle Kevin and Aunt Laurie.
In the envelope was $12.99.  Exactly.  This is also from the night before at the RSL game when Logan was telling everyone to bring him a present.  Uncle Kevin told him he forgot to get him one and Logan said, "That is Ok.  You can just give me 12.99 for a spinner."  That is how much the Ninjago spinners he likes cost.  Little stinker!

Afterwards, Logan went around and gave everyone a hug.  He is really good about saying thank you and appreciating everything he got.  Even when he is SO spoiled!
While we were opening presents, Avery was playing Aunt Vanessa's phone with Uncle Brian's help.
And Rylee was eating cherries.  LOTS of cherries!  I found cherry juice all over her clothes!  And look at her face!

Then it was time for singing and candles.  Here is Logan with his Ninjago-style cake.  I showed him a bunch of cake ideas online and this is the one he liked.
I was pretty happy when Logan picked this cake.  I thought it would be super easy but that paper folding project ended up being TWO hours!  My mom ended up doing it.  She started the night before when we were at her house and I had taken the kids to the park.  I thought she would be done when we got back, but there was still a ways to go!  CRAZY!  It might have been easier to do something with fondant!  The important thing is that Logan LOVED it!  Thanks Grandma B!

Lighting the candles...
Rylee LOVES her cousin Madi
Waiting to blow out the candles while we sing.

It took a few tries to get those candles out!

Enjoying some cake!
After the cake, Logan and his buddy Mason got working on the Lego building!  They just spread out right in the middle of the floor.  They were having a great time!

Little Ethan eating his cake with his hands.  He really only wanted the frosting anyway.

Miss Avery and her frosting face
After cousin Mason had to leave, Uncle Kyle and Cyril (the French exchange student) took over and helped Logan keep building.  Cyril was LOVING it!  This might have been his favorite thing he did the whole time he was in the US.  The next day, Logan was putting together the Legos and using a French accent.  It was hilarious!

I don't know why the girls have these flowers...  So silly!

We weren't sure if the kids were going to see Cyril before he went back to France, so we had them take a picture with him before they left.  We did end up seeing him again a couple more times though.

Logan and his loot after the party!  I think I wrote most of it already but here is what he got...   He got a Jay Stormfighter from both Grandma and Grandpa Webber and Great Grandma Pauline, a Rattle copter from Aunt Heather and Uncle Jay, some clothes and balls and a nerf gun (and a Kit Kat) from Great Grandma Mary, Glow in the dark sand shaker from McCanns, Ninjago Venamari Shrine from Uncle Brian and Aunt Val, Cars legos from Uncle Brad, a pennant and Angry birds shirt from Grandma and Grandpa Boman, Star Wars legos from Matt and Mandy and Uncle Dean and Aunt Laura, Dino legos from Cory and Katie, Star Wars legos from Brian and Vanessa, Hero Legos from Curt and Carla, golf clubs from Uncle Kyle and $12.99 from Uncle Kevin, Aunt Laurie and Haley.

Logan and his new golf clubs.
Let the Lego building being!  Logan had a great couple of days putting together the sets he got!

What a great birthday!  And there was still lots more celebrating to come...
